Claddagh Restaurant — Restaurant in Cork

As one of our regular go-to spots (it's never too busy and always accomodating for us - busy family w/young kids), the service and food offerings are fine.

If you want top notch pizza, go across the road (Italians in the kitchen at let's eat) but you'll pay more for it… We know what we get here and it's fine at a great price point (takeaway pizzas are €6 all day). There are some minor improvements around the food (their attempts at classic Italian pizzas are mixed) and service (they don't always serve the kids first!) but we're happy with it.

What does mark this place over others is that they go out of their way to help. For example, today 2 americans arrived into the restaurant hoping they could get them to call a cab - the taxi rank indicated it would be at least 45mins and they only needed to go 5mins away. The owner pops out and says he will bring them. 2 mins later he appears with a nice black saloon and ferries them over to their B&B. Now that is customer...

Fully halal except for some of their drinks

Food was amazing, and so does its hospitality and customer service! We had a small birthday celebration for a friend there and thank you to the waitress for helping us out with the arrangements.

I have tried it before but was only able to take away as the restaurant was full.

Please order their crispy beef/chicken, very very good. less flour coating, almost purely protein but crispy yums.

Experience was not great. Chicken came out in an under cooked batter even though it said breadcrumbs on the menu. The dish was missing the garlic sauce which we had to ask for, when it came 10 mins later it was not great with big chunks of garlic in it, it was inedible. The side order of chips we ordered also did not appear. We counted 8 people who sat down and then subsequently left due to poor service and we were shocked that they did not have any Vegetables, steak and ‘there was a problem with the water’ so no still water was available.
