I know what you are asking - why did you go all the way to Ireland, and have Italian food and pizza? Well, we got tired of the few traditional Irish dishes and were craving something different.
The owners are from Northern Italy, so the food is quite a treat compared to what you usually experience in America.
Plenty of pizza choices (both vegan and non vegan), as well as a good variety of pasta dishes, desserts, and drinks.
We ordered the Delizia (€12.50 for the 9” or €14.50 for the 12” pie). It consisted of spicy salami, Italian bacon, red onion, mozzarella cheese, and we added black olives for an extra €1. And they didn’t skimp on the black olives folks (see the pic). They were whole olives, and not slices, like we are used to in the states. Gotta love that!
We also ordered the 9” Vegetariana for €10.80. It had tasty tomato sauce, aubergines (AKA eggplant), courgettes (AKA zucchini), a touch of basil, and roasted red peppers. No cheese on this one, since it was listed as a vegan option.
The food was so fresh here, and the best part of it all was the crust and the tomato sauce on each pizza.
Service was OK. The food came out in a timely manner, and the girl running the front operations was friendly and courteous. However, I must deduct one star because she didn’t pay enough attention to our drink refill requests. She was occupied with what appeared to be one of the town locals who stops in for a pint and just sits and has conversations with the staff. I guess that happens in a lot of small towns. I can get past that though, I would drop by here again, in a heartbeat.
No private parking lot - you have to park on the street. Two hour free street parking, but I advise leaving your car parked at the Blarney Castle if you just came from there, and just walk the short distance to this place.
Bottled beer is €3.50, pints are €4.95, a glass of...
Read moreAfter a full day exploring the beauty and history of Blarney Castle, an unexpected bus delay led us to discover Amore Italiano—and it turned out to be the highlight of our evening. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was attentive without being intrusive.
The pizza immediately impressed us with its thin, crispy crust, reminiscent of Mod Pizza back home, a personal favorite of mine. It struck the perfect balance between crunch and chew, with toppings that were fresh and flavorful.
However, the true standout of the meal was the pasta. It was incredibly fresh, clearly made with quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. Every bite was rich, comforting, and full of authentic flavor. The salad was another pleasant surprise—vibrant, crisp, and well-dressed, offering a refreshing contrast to the heartier dishes.
Amore Italiano exceeded our expectations in every way. What started as a detour turned into a memorable dining experience that I would gladly recommend to anyone visiting the area. If you're near Blarney and craving great Italian food in a cozy setting, this spot should be at the top...
Read more5 stars !!! While visiting the area we called in for a bite to eat over mid term. We had the Margarita pizza with fries and Spaghetti Carbonara. The mains were absolutely delicious. My daughter really enjoyed her pizza. We had tried pizza in another place the previous night and when i asked her which was her favourite she said "Eat in it". For desserts we had Tiramisu and Salted caramel icecream. The Tiramisu had a delicious creamy texture. The salted caramel icecream was a winner too. The hot chocolate was very tasty also. I have to say the staff were very friendly and the music added to the general ambiance. Would highly recommend "Eatinit" if you are looking for delicious food and beverages in a friendly...
