Very disappointing dinner experience. This wine bar/Bistro is pricey but has neither food nor service to match. Thanks to the owner for the reply. I am in the top 10% of Google reviewers with almost 700 reviews and give accurate feedback on my experiences. Most of my reviews are positive. But I will critique a businesses where there is an obvious price/product/service mismatch. Your reply to my review strikes me as being an offensive "road rage" type of response and prospective customers can decide for themselves whether to believe an impartial reviewer or yourself. P.S. I did not order the Mushroom Risotto and I did leave a tip.

After landing in Shannon, we had our first evening meal at Henry's Bistro & Wine Bar. We were served two kinds of bread while we ordered our starters. Thr Seafood Chowder as a big hit! Others in our group enjoyed the Slow Cooked Pork Belly. The Tiger Prawns were also delicious! Our entrees included the Pan Roasted Salmon and the Surf-n-turf. The Free Range Chicken was also very good. Try Henry's Bistro &Wine Bar. You will not be disappointed!

It was an experience for us (couple), not only a dinner. The staff is kind, helpful and friendly. Names of the dishes probably are slightly different but there's what we ate. Starter: goat cheese pie with veggies and salad, main: beef steak (stewed) with prawns and mash potatoes, dessert: Henry chocolat fondant. Only picture from dessert. Food is really tasty and flavoured. Two red wine glasses from list to pair with the starter and main.

Always fantastic food at Henry's made by top class chefs and served by the most professional servers! We had the starter special of black pudding bon bons similar to a potato cake with black pudding served with a relish and salad on the side delicious! We then had steak for main course served with freshly cut handmade chips and fresh vegetables. Hands down the nicest steak you will ever eat I promise! Washed down with a beautiful glass of albariño which was definitely the nicest wine I've tasted in a very long time! I then had the dessert special of chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream and fresh cream just amazing my partner had a lovely cheese board with 4 different fresh cheeses to finish off a lovely evening! Thank you to Dermot and his team for a lovely...

As with other statements if there were a6 starts this would be it. Lovely place. The atmosphere was quiet with soft music playing. After a week in Ireland, this far and away was the best food I have had in the country, and the top 3 I've had ever. How they don't have a Michelin star is beyond me. The wait staf,f when they came to run my card, asked "was the bill ok?" and I replied would have expected to pay 50% more than I did for the meal my girlfriend and I enjoyed. (65EU for two entrees, a dessert and a glass of wine; our meals were an easy $100USD tab back home).

If I had to list one improvement point, it would be the servers seemed occupied elsewhere, but this is something I've noticed everywhere in Ireland (I am from the US) so probably just a...

Really disappointed with this place. The menu selection looks really good but the goats cheese option left little to be desired, nearly had to send out a search party for the cheese bit. I'm really getting tired of the same ole same ole veg selection that accompany main courses in many restaurants and Henry's is no different, infact it's pretty dreadful, steamed carrots, baby potatoes ( halved) peas and broccoli, you could practically pour it out of a bag. ( Dried out and tasteless) . Lamb option was ok, jus sauce was very bland. Pity. Evening ruined by a little brat on next table, WALKING UP AND DOWN THE TABLE...CAUSING A RAWCUS...waiters did...
