The calzone we ordered was correct (UPDATE- Calzone was NOT correct, it ALSO has SHRIMP) but we also ordered spaghetti carbonara and received some type of white cream soup with shellfish? Husband is allergic to shellfish and we’re over 40 mins away and picked up takeaway on our drive home. And the phone number on their website doesn’t seem to work so this has not been resolved with the restaurant. This entire experience is incredibly concerning for someone with a shellfish allergy. I would not recommend this place if you have a shellfish allergy as it seems cross contamination and carelessness with ingredients is evident.

Came here to dine with friends. They had carbonara and I had margherita pizza. Their carbonara was ok. My pizza was dry and lacked sauce. Service was fine. House wine was acceptable but slightly overpriced. There wasn't much atmosphere as it was coming up to closing time. Might come back if in town to try something else.

Some of the best Italian food I have had in years. Didn't expect it to be as good. Sea food chowder was amazing along with the other meals. Recommend the red sauce over the pesto for more flavor. All food is made to order so plan ahead for a bit of a wait for food after you order. House red is nice also

We booked La Strada for my daughter's 21st dinner. We waited 15 minutes before our order was taken and another 45 minutes before our meal was eventually served. The food was good but nothing spectacular. The waiting staff were very good but obviously under pressure. They brought out our daughter's birthday cake with candles lit which was lovely. We were having the cake and some of the family were having tea or coffee with it when manager or waiter said please pay now as we have another booking coming in. Well, I didn't hear it in time and her dad paid the bill. But omg was I raging when my older daughter said what he had said and they felt they had to rush through eating their cake and drinking their tea and coffee. He'd have got the riot act from me only we were heading on to our daughter's party. Never again will I step inside the doors of La Strada. That waiter or manager, (don't know what he was, apart from a loud mouth) showed total disprect for us as customers. My advice, ...

Quick update, recommendation revoked. We returned with 6 of us, it took 40 minutes for starters to arrive. Mussels fairly devoid of mussels. Main course, pasta and chorizo and shrimps was bathed in oil, plus the majority of the chorizo was burnt.

All of this was christened with a full bill and an offer to "redo the dish" I'm not a chef but sending food burnt đŸ”„ to the table is even at home frowned on...

We're not going back .. i appreciate there might have been a change of staff/ difficulties unknown to us but we going to spend our euro elsewhere

Don't let the exterior and interior deter you . What's important is what arrives on your plate. The caprese salad is a bit rough around the edges but nice at the same time. The pasta and Pizza are lovely.. big servings to feed even the hungriest individual. Well recommended.

For the restaurant: take all the old stickers of the window, a lick of paint would do wonders...

Had the prawn and chorizo. Dish was under seasoned. Pasta was precooked and not seasoned. Why pre-cook pasta, it won't absorb the sauce when added to sauce. Same as other views, it was a very oily dish not olive oil either or oil from chorizo as the chorizo wasn't cooked. It was vegetable oil. Dish was advertised as tiger prawns, we did not receive tiger prawns. Powdered parmesan. My wife had prawns and garlic with gluten free pasta which was apparently cooked fresh, it was mush. Dish was so bland.

I would not recommend this place. Food is really bad, waitress showed very limit knowledge of food.

The only thing positive was the prices. Portions were big, I don't see that as a positive,...
