Mondo — Restaurant in County Clare

We went to Mondo today for coffee/cake and my boyfriend got a brownie. The brownie had some dried fruits in it, but the sign didn’t say anything about fruits. He was not happy with that because he doesn’t like dried fruit and didn’t expect that the brownie had fruit in it. Maybe we could have asked what was in it but the sign said just “brownie” and normally brownie is made of just chocolate so we didn’t expect that it contained fruits at all. We told one of staff about that and she just said “ok”, left and continued working as normal and nobody showed up, we waited for around 5 minutes and at that point decided to leave. Unfortunately our experience today is really putting us off returning which is sad as my boyfriend normally recommends this cafe. The cost for brownie was just 3.70 but we were disappointed that they didn’t explain anything, didn’t offer any resolutions and even didn’t say sorry or anything. We just wanted to suggest maybe writing fruit on the brownie sign or warning customers about it when buying it. We liked cafe vibe and coffee but that was disappointing...

My wife and I regularly go to this wonderful establishment for coffee. As a former barista with extensive experience, I can give my modest assessment. The coffee beans are well roasted. The staff is trained. They do not rot the milk when whipping the foam, the fat content of the milk is preserved in the drink, and you can feel the natural sweetness. They draw great with foam on the drink (latte art), a cozy interior. I visited all the coffee shops in the city, the main problem is overheated milk when whipping. The second is that the coffee is very roasted, you can feel a strong bitterness in the drink. I recommend visiting...

This place is a little gem. We stopped in Ennis on the way back from the cliffs of Moher and wanted coffee and light bite. We walked around a few coffee shops but found this one based on google reviews . Glad we came here. Coffee is beautiful. Lovely Earl grey tea. Home made sweet selection and caramel square was great. My husband had the chicken and mushroom on sourdough . It was really delicious- full of flavour , chicken so tender and sourdough so fresh! The staff were friendly and helpful. The cafe ambience is great so much space and nice decor. Lovely clean toilet facilities. A hidden gem I hope...
