Charleys Cafe — Restaurant in County Donegal

This was my second ever visit. I'm not really a fastfood eater, so the first time was about 6 months earlier. Food came out suspiciously quick. On the breakfast, the only thing hot were the fried egg and fried potatoes. The tomato was dry. The sausage, bacon, and pudding were lukewarm; as was the accompanying plate of chips. I would expect that some of the items were pre-cooked earlier in the day; because of the temperature and speed that they were served. First visit earlier in the year was a similar disappointment. Unlikely to return. 14-Jan '23 Update: against my better judgement, I popped in again for breakfast. First time since lockdown. Some changes made to entrance and some tables had perspex screens (was like sitting in a prison visitor area). Food was mediocre. Fried tomato was dry (where have i heard that before?), and toast was very dry (either old bread or kept under a heat lamp? The stainless steel teapot and milk jug were filthy. Had fish and chips. Not worth the money and I won't be back here. Had a photo but deleted it. Fish wasn't great portion, batter was rock hard, some might describe as "crispy". Was deep fried in oil that flavoured the fish. I guess the fish was deep fried, then reheated in microwave. Could be wrong but it was exceptionally hot.
