Italian Nook — Restaurant in County Donegal

I had a great meal here on a Sunday afternoon. Wasn't sure what to expect but the reviews looked good. The owner is a really nice, welcoming man who told me his story. Used to live in Venice and ran a food business over there. The food was amazing. Pasta dishes are fantastic. Really nice flavours and the perfect size. I was so full after trying 3 dishes or else I would have ordered more things just to try. Will definitely go back next time I'm in Letterkenny and try out a few more dishes. Terrible food, I ordered Arrancini as starter and it was tasteless, most likely a frozen prepared food. Then I ordered the polpette (meatballs), the spaghetti came out cut up, like a Heinz kids toddler meal, the meatballs had some sort of cheese or rice in them and they just tasted wrong. Ordered pizza for collection. Told it would take 30 minutes on the phone which was very long in my opinion although it was ready when I went to collect 20 minutes after I ordered. Pizza dough was nice but that was about it. The pizza sauce wasn’t very nice and the cheese was not melted enough. Didn’t feel like authentic italian pizza.
