Wow! This pub was so good that we stayed an extra day in Donegal to come back again. The first night was absolutely brilliant. Two different (and really good) live acts, really friendly people, and a brilliant atmosphere with lots of singing, dancing, cheers, etc. Because the second band was so good, we decided to stay another night and see them play on the Monday night. The man working that night was really lovely, helpful, friendly and informative about the area. I thought the first night couldn't be topped, but it definitely was. One person described it as the best night of her life. How the woman on the bar coped, I have no idea, but she did, and kept the drinks coming while genuinely smiling and working through it all. Read moreWe've been going to this pub for a good few year's now as campers, always been made very welcome but on this occasion the young blonde hair girl with a rose tattoo on the back of her left arm was quite rude on two occasions on the same night, 1st she tutit when I give her losse change for a drink 2ndly when I went to the bar again at 11.45 was told do you not know the bar is shut, no last oders was called so you have to be a mind reader, am self employed myself so I know how paying customers like to be treated think she just had bit of an attitude from word go obviously this job isn't for her Wednesday...
Read moreStayed in Donegal Town for three nights and went to Reel Inn each evening. First evening I asked if it was possible to have a Tia Maria coffee with cream. The lady apologised as she had no cream but then said 'wait'. I told her not to go to any bother that I would have something else. She ran from the pub and came back with cream. It was the nicest Tia Maria coffee I have had. The atmosphere and traditional music was wonderful. This pub helped to make our stay so enjoyable. We hope to return in the not too...
