We were looking for a dinner spot as tourists passing through and it was hard to find gluten free options anywhere. It was during a long weekend so all puns were busy and hot so we opted for the outdoor seating at Gigas which we saw walking by. The menus suggested a few gf things so we ordered chicken wings & coleslaw - yes gf, and said calamari was also gf but the kitchen gal wasn’t sure. We ordered the Mexican pizza, a chicken tikka roll and boneless chilly chicken wings. All of them were fantastic. The chicken wings especially were probably the best I have had. One of the guys from there, Trevor chatted with us and recommended Porterhouse next door for a sit down dinner. He actually went in there and made a reservation for us!! Lovely little find of a place. Stuck in Oranmore on a layover, and thought I was stuck with the same old same old for food. But this place really does a decent Kebab with really nice thick cuts of lamb and a nice flat bread. If I had one criticism it's that there was a lot of salad but that wasn't to the detriment of meat so you can just take out what you don't want.
