We arrived at 7:30pm and were told to choose our own table. We then sat for quite some time before a server noticed us and we received menus. Dinner took a while to come out, then at 8:45 we were told that we could not have dessert as the kitchen was already closed. The service was rather sad and a little pathetic, food was bland and overdone, won't be going there again. Good food and staff in general very friendly. Very suitable for all tastes once there are no dietary requirements. We were guaranteed there would be menu choices for vegan and coeliac members of our party but there was nothing offered. Chef sent message that anything on menu could be made vegan. I ordered a half roast pork. I got two measly slivers of pork, mostly fat, three slices of carrot and for green veg was shocked to see a mound of parsley! I should hope a full dinner comes with a floret of broccoli at least. There was an abundance of tasty mashed potato. My daughter's sausages tasted odd. My friends stew was delicious.
