Downright amazing, Westport sorely needs something different and this place really wows you and fills your belly. The only slight negative with a Thai, is that it's new and working out the kinks. There have been no missteps, of the 3 times we have been so far, but for fairness there may be more changes as they find out what works best for them. The staff are so friendly, and it really encourages a very local cafe atmosphere. Pat and Nikki should be so proud of this, as they welcome you with open arms. Their personality is really infectious and it shows. On our second visit, we ended up chatting to our neighbour customer, just out of the blue... And I am not an overly social person, so that was amazing. The food is highly authentic, with fresh and local ingredients. It really does remind me of Thai food, with some temper on the hotness. Thank God as I am lightweight. The spring rolls, not Chinese, but Thai style are delicious. These are very fragrant and fresh, so if you like them you'll love them. It reminds me of a summer’s garden, an explosion of Mint, coriander and lettuce. The Thai noodle soup is a broth. It wasn't too wifey’s taste, but I really enjoyed it. Having grown up on this type of broth it really reminds me of eastern cuisine. However if you are unsure what to try. We recommend the all rounders the Cashew Nut Stir fry and stir Fried Ramen. Both absolutely delicious and will caters to all palettes. The spicy dishes also wow, but only if you are adventurous. I tried the Ga Pow, but asked for mild. The pork, spicy and sweet combination is a real treat if you can stand the heat. The Singapore noodles, while a mild spicy is also great. I tried a little bit, but Wifey really appreciated this one. Some dishes are accompanied with a small bowl of coriander and scallion broth. This always goes down a treat, slurping from the bowl is as delicious as it is bad matters... But so worth it. This is a popular place for lunch menu so arrive early. The rush can affect kitchen times, due to the small size. But the quality is high and worth the wait. Everything is fresh, the vegetables have a bite, and the bowls are hot ... and spicy if you like. Wifey and Hubby really enjoy eating here. Something new and something different.

Oh they don't do take away, mainly because food doesn't travel well. For the experience and the freshness they want you to come in and visit... And you will be given a welcome...

One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve ever been to, right in the heart of Westport! The moment you walk in, the calm atmosphere and the live kitchen counter set such an authentic vibe. Watching the chefs at work adds a special touch and really shows the care that goes into every dish.

The food is outstanding — fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully balanced with spices. The curries are rich and fragrant, the stir-fries perfectly cooked, and the noodle dishes packed with taste. You can tell the ingredients are top quality and the kitchen takes real pride in their cooking.

The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure you’re comfortable and well looked after. It’s rare to find a place where great food, a spotless open kitchen, and such warm service all come together so well.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Thai food and a memorable dining experience...

We ended up sitting for an entire hour just waiting for our food. Yes, the food was tasty, but the food served as takeaway is terrible, as if the box was shaken on purpose and the service was unacceptably slow. To make things worse, the waiter started questioning us about why we were in a hurry. That is completely unprofessional and none of their business. If we want our meal to take 30 minutes, that’s our choice—not an excuse for the kitchen to take an hour to prepare a single dish. On top of that, when we ordered noodles with chicken, the waiter “jokingly” asked if it was for religious reasons—implying something about my father being Muslim. That kind of comment is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. A restaurant should never make assumptions about a guest’s religion or personal life, let alone turn it...

A must visit while in Westport. Exemplary service, gorgeous food, amazing vibes. My boyfriend and I shared the chicken dumplings and they were a burst of pure flavor and were the freshest tasting dumplings I’ve ever had; and the sauce they were paired with was to die for. I had the Thai noodle soup and the broth was just so savory and clearly made with love. My boyfriend got the “drunken noodles” with pork and was raving about them… everything from the decor of the restaurant to the walls of the bathroom was outstanding. Overall such a lovely dining experience, would highly recommend. Hats off to Nikki, Pat, and all the lovely staff :) thanks!

I’ve been walking all over Ireland for the last 6 or so weeks. I’ve eatin at tons of great restaurants but Á Thai has something different. A near perfect mix of Food, personalities, and atmosphere. Getting to sit at the bar and watch my food being made, talking to the chefs, Jamie and Nikki, and discussing pairings and why they made their dishes they way they do, adds a whole different level to the eating experience. The servers are attentive and talkative making you want to come back every night, which I actually did. Eat at your own risk, cause you’ll never wanna go anywhere else.
