I stopped into Spill the Beans Café in Athlone and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was so cute and cozy, perfectly decorated and welcoming. The 2 girls working there were extremely slow on taking orders when the place was half empty. We were waiting 10 minutes for 2 coffees with one other person in front of us that I'm guessing was waiting the same amount of time. My order was rather simple as a quadruple espresso can get that turned out to be a double shot espresso for the price of the quadruple, the taste was surprisingly good. So in the end we spent 20 mins and 10€ for a quadruple espresso...

I was in Athlone on a shopping trip and stopped here for Elevenses, a coffee and scone. I was glad I did, the staff were so friendly.An American tourist popped in for a coffee and to ask about parking in the area.one of the staff was super helpful, even going so far as to cross the street to help him with the ticket machine.
