Arrived at 12.15pm on Saturday last for a quick (one plate) snack. Restaurant was quite busy, but not overly so. Covid protocols were followed and we were shown to our table and told menus would be brought. After about 20 minutes or more we still hadn't received menus and found it difficult to get any servers attention to ask for same. We eventually got menus, and indeed the person who checked us in and brought us to our table apologised and offered us complimentary coffees. These did not arrive ! We ordered two omelettes and advised that coffees had not arrived. These arrived quickly but we were left waiting some time for our food. When it did arrive it was obvious that they had been left under a hot lamp for some time as the tops of the omelletes were very dry. We were then left waiting for an eternity to get a servers attention to request our bill. As my sister had an appintment at 2.00pm she had to leave and I waited a futrher 10/15 minutes to get a servers attention which I had to do quite rudely by putting my hand up high in the air ! The bill arrived and we were charged for the complimentary coffeees ! I simply had not the energy to query this and just wanted to leave so paid the bill in cash. I waited another 10 minutes for my change as I notices the server had gone to reception and answered a telephone call which took an age to finish. When I got my change I noticed I had received too much change so left this behind which staff probably misinterpreted as a tip. I couldn't help put notice that their take away/delivery service for Wow burger seemed to be exceptionally busy and it appears to me that the staff were under too much pressure with this as well as their restaurant customers. Read moreIt has been a dreadful experience on so many levels. I came for brunch, specifically for the open salmon sandwich. The supervisor/manager brought me to the table and I ordered the open salmon sandwich straight away. After 10 minutes wait, a waitress told me that they don’t have it anymore on the menu. I could have been told directly by the supervisor/manager when he took my order.
As I was very hungry and already sat by the table, so I went for the second option in my mind (steak sandwich) because I knew for sure they have it on the menu. While I was sitting and waiting for my food, none of the 9 floor waiting staff came to ask me for anything to drink. They seem to be busy with everything else apart from serving and taking care of customers.
Finally, my sandwich arrived The sandwich portion is small with a handful of Doritos chips and the taste is at best below average. However, the main point of my review is that this place is a complete mess, the floor staff are running like a headless chicken, avoiding eye contact with customers just in case they might ask for anything, it has been a complete disaster.
After finishing my sandwich and I was still hungry (only half full), I went to pay at the till just to avoid additional unnecessary waiting time. I was in shock, as you can imagine, when I saw the price on my bill,I said to the supervisor/manager “Is this a joke?” and he answered me with a smug on his face “We don’t make the prices.” and walked off. I was speechless after that response, and then I left with a half-empty stomach and a bitter taste in my mouth after this horrible experience. Read moreI’ll be straightforward. I like the food, they were famous for the chicken wings but every-time I go one every 2 months it seems to get worst. Definitely reheated countless times. That’s a shame.
Biggest issue I experience and hear from locals is service. Waiters are very friendly but severely understaffed as this is the only restaurant by them with this issue. Always been like this since opening at this location. They sit you down, don’t attend the table for 40 minutes every time . We call them, they take drinks order. Another 30 mins later need to remind them, they bring them, take the food order and it arrives 50 mins later. They don’t attend your table ever again for the rest of the night unless you grab them from behind.
Just stressful considering the price of the restaurant.
Also orders should be taken with paper and pen, as any special requests are always forgotten and food is sent back.
I would come more often but most times don’t have all day to chase waiters so I rather go elsewhere. Could be easily fixed and this point has been brought up at every visit. I could see same always happens with people dining around us as they were constantly having to apologise.
Definitely you need to staff more people at this location and help your servers out, it’s not their fault as they run around like crazy...
