Awful! Went in there after having had 1 pint before hand at a different bar. I'm 20 and I was with a friend of the same age. His girlfriend at the time was working there, so he wanted to say hi and we figured we would grab a drink while we were at it and then head off. We walk in, it's almost completely empty, my friend briefly greets his girlfriend and then we sit down. As soon as we sit down some big lad approached us (who turned out to be the manager or something like that) and asked us for ID, which is reasonable and we showed him our IDs. Then he said instantly that we had "had one too many", which was simply not true. He then continued to accuse us of being too drunk (keep in mind at this stage we'd barely even gotten a word in). Then, when we tried to explain to him that we had only had one pint each about 30 minutes ago, he would just raise his voice at us and get really up close and say either that we're way too drunk, or he would just shout "get out!".

The worst experience I have EVER had in any establishment. We were in no way "drunk", and certainly did not come across that way. We were in there for probably about 4 minutes before getting kicked out. From what I heard from my friends then girlfriend this was a somewhat regular occurrence too. Booked the upstairs area weeks in advance for a group of 40 people for 7.30pm. On the week of the event I was told to have the group there by 6.30pm instead or they would give tables away due to a football match being on (not ideal when you have told a group of 40 people that it was originally 7.30 up until the week). When we arrived at 6.30pm half of the tables upstairs had also been reserved for another party who also seemed to be frustrated with the lack of space. Majority of my group could not sit and it was disgracefully packed upstairs for both parties and there was only one person on the bar who I felt extremely sorry for. Val was also extremely rude asking at 6.50 if the rest of my guests would be arriving soon (why did this matter as they had nowhere to sit when they arrived shortly after anyway) Not an ideal setting for older / pregnant people with the lack of room.
