Thindi in Dundrum! How come I never knew they had so many branches already? I've tried so many biryanis here in Dublin over the last year, but this one felt like home (in this context, I mean actual biryani places in India). The aroma alone hints at how the food tastes 🤤 (Please don't mind the emoji; that's how I drooled with an empty stomach). They seem to have covered as many Indian dishes as they can, all budget-friendly and customizable to our palate upon request. Try the biryani, and I'm sure you guys will use this as a reference when trying others. There are a lot of vegetarian and vegan options as well. They serve lunch from 12 pm to 4 pm, during which the prices are reduced; apart from that, if you are a student, you will get a discount at any time. Since it's newly opened, the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. The staff here are well-trained and nice people. I'm glad this place is near my home; now I don't have to go to the city center anymore for authentic and delicious Indian food. Please do visit this place. Always do the right things, team 👍🏻 and...
Read moreOur first experience here was a takeaway which was excellent, among the best Indian meals I've tasted. So we went there last night for a sit down meal. Again the food was excellent and the prices were reasonable (€30 pp including a 660ml beer). The service was equally perfect. The staff were very pleasant and very attentive. Absolutely 100% so far!! But!!!! The seating felt more like a waiting room than a sit down restaurant, given the quality of the food and service this was a very minor issue. We wanted to have the tasting starter, but there were three of us, and the waiter advised there was only two of everything, and doing one with three of everything wasn't possible, which we thought was a bit inflexible. The really poor thing was that the wind was holding the door slightly ajar, and despite the heating being on and the restaurant being generally warm, there was a freezing cold breeze running through. By the time we'd finished I had a dose of the sniffles, and a full blown cold...
Read moreI've ordered the loaded Naan (with chicken) from Thindi in Dundrum quite a few times now. I live locally. This is a super dish. Very modern thinking. Just under a tenner and HUGE! Will easily fill any adult, and you'll love it, and you might even have half left for your lunch the next day. I've always enjoyed it and will continue to order it.
They have great offers on their app and website. You get rewards for eating here too, and you can get them quite quickly.
My mate, swears by their chicken wings. Also, the children's portions are large enough for an adult. There's also their own version of a spice bag. That's possibly next on my list. They have flash offers too, on the app. Today was free Gunpowder Fries when you've spent €25 or more. Nice. Finally, you always get a warm welcome from Abi and the rest of the the staff. Thank you Abi. Great food and...
