Visited recently with my girlfriend. Terry and team gave us both a brilliant experience. The Tom Yum soup was so good (it’s usually not my favourite Thai option as i find the fish flavour overpowering and most places it is very watery but was 10/10 at Chob Thai). We also tried a scallop special appetiser which was beautiful and punched with flavour. Afterward I went for a fillet beef special which was cooked perfectly medium rare and extremely tender. My girlfriend went for a lamb shank in massaman curry which included squash rather than normally expected potato- a really nice seasonal twist to add a uniqueness to the dish. Both dishes were great. For dessert, i am not the biggest fan of mango but shared the mango cheesecake. Again it was amazing- the mango flavour wasn’t overpowering, texture was great and there was a hint of coconut. Finally we finished with iced matcha lattes- so good. It is our new favourite Thai spot where the food feels special. We tried multiple dishes and both finished everything...

Gorgeous gorgeous dinner!

Went there with 2 friends on their recommendation.

I'm usually not a huge fan of Thai but that's mostly because I find it done in an approximate way.

Trusting the recommendation of my friends I approach this night with an adventurous mind and it paid off!

For both my starter and main I opted for the special.

The prawns with fruits were very tasty and the freshness of the fruit gave it a touch that I had never experienced before.

I loved my duck flambé on grilled pineapple: scenographic, tasty and very very crispy.

Finally I loved that the ice cream option allowed to combine it with sorbet. I decided to try the soya black beans and I found it surprisingly interesting!

Cocktails were also super interesting and tasty.

The staff was super nice and added to the general atmosphere.

One minor comment: for a place that managed to achieve this level of quality, it would be nicer not to have a thick plastic table cloth to protect the actual nice looking...

Chob Thai is a lovely restaurant with beautiful interiors and tasty food situated in a quaint, peaceful, location. We went there for my wife's birthday and ordered their 2 course menu, which was so delicious and had a big serving. Will really make you full, not just by the amount, but also by flavor. We also ordered a Matcha Latte, which my wife tagged as the "best matcha latte she had, so far in her life". They also served their Mango Cheese Cake as a birthday treat for my wife, and it was exceptional.

The staff were also very friendly and helpful, they patiently explained the menu to us and hosted us very well. Truly 5 stars.

Plus points, we booked at around 12:30 on a Sunday and lucked out that we were the only ones in the restaurant, it looked like we rented out the place 🤣

TLDR: MUST GO, MUST...
