I had the strangest experience- I found a steel ring in my starter of mussels. When I advised the waitress she spoke to the kitchen and came back to say “we don’t know how it got there”. No apology, no explanation but a heavy implication that it had nothing to do with them. It clearly was the ring off the bag of mussels. The situation was poorly handled by the kitchen and management. I ate my mains feeling completely gaslit, almost like I went into the kitchen and put it in there. When I was leaving I spoke to the manager whose first words to me were “so?”. I told the waitress I wouldn’t be paying for the dish and as far as the manager was concerned because it wasn’t charged for there wasn’t a problem. He eventually apologised and said he would talk to the kitchen team. I really feel this whole thing was handled so badly, practically laying the blame with me that this happened.
Minestrone soup was bland, the liquid in the mussels starter was the same as the soup. My seafood pasta was nice but chicken didn’t get the thumbs up. Side of veg with the chicken was small and bland. Our salad also didn’t come out which the waitress wasn’t aware of, just a catalogue of poor service errors at our table from the kitchen. Food definitely overpriced but the experience really stuck with me. Be accountable and respectful to your customers when you make...
Read moreIf you are looking for an amazing Italian Restaurant in Clontarf, Dublin, Ireland. I highly recommended visiting Picasso located on Vernon Avenue. I went to this amazing restaurant with many many members of my Family. As soon as we entered the Restaurant we were made feel very Welcome and they gave us great seating in their dinning room upstairs. Our waitress made sure we had water and menus. Also she brought out fresh bread. We all ended up sharing various appetizers with our drinks. I ordered a peroni beer and it’s tasted great. After our appetizers our entree’s arrived arrived shortly afterwards. We all ended the night by ordering desserts and cappuccinos. The appetizer, Entree’s, deserts and cappuccinos all tasted great and everyone enjoyed their meal. The staff were all very professional and you could tell they take a lot of pride in their jobs . They certainly know how to take care of their customers. Picasso Restaurant definitely rates ten stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and more!!! I definitely will be returning in the near future on my next visit to Ireland. Lastly it should be noted I am originally from Dublin, Ireland , Traveled all over the World with the US Marines and the United States. I definitely know a great Italian Restaurant from all my travels. A must visit when in Clontarf,...
Read moreWas out with my elderly Mother today and she can’t do any restaurants with stairs or steps, I knew that Picasso is on the flat, so it was ideal. The lunch menu is extremely reasonably priced and has an excellent selection on it. As we both love seafood, I knew that we would get some beautiful fish on the menu, and we were not disappointed. We were greeted like friends by all the staff who could not do enough to help us, without being in the way. We both had a beautiful Smooth chicken liver pâté to start, and the we both opted for the baked fish of the day.. it was oven baked cod with a very delicate garlic and white wine sauce, with fresh veg selection, and potatoes. There are also lots of wonderful Italian dishes available on the lunch, and a La Carte menus. We both thoroughly enjoyed it and were very satisfied with our meal. The restaurant is wonderfully decorated and spotlessly clean, as is the rest room, they have a great selection of drinks available, including Guinness and Peroni on draft. A huge selection of wines and soft drinks, and liqueurs. Thank you so much guys, we will be back...
