Absolutely dreadful experience here for breakfast this morning.am not one that ever leaves reviews but felt I had to today. Both myself and my friend complained that the scrambled eggs were over cooked, hard ,dry and like leather, cooked like a dry omelette cut up.Neither of us could eat it. We complained to who I think was the manageress.she was simply appalling rude, very defensive, raised her voice to us. Did not accept was we said as above but stated” we have done 20 other scrambled eggs here this morning and no one else has complained” . We left having eaten tea and toast and left the rest. When I went to pay, I told her the eggs were seriously over cooked like leather, inedible. She again raised her voice to me. She said she had given me a discount on the bill, in fact she charged the full amount for both uneaten breakfasts and did not charge for two cups of tea. We had to ask after the food was served for the tea as it had not come. I asked her could she please speak to the chef. She said “ he has been here 4 year” and followed that up with “ I gave you a discount” . She then simply turned her back to me, with her back to me I said, “ a discount of two cups of tea is not relevant if you cannot eat the food”.This woman was incredibly rude and although I live near the fat cat, I will never darken...

Well.. fat cat cafe used to be one of our favourite places.. but the quality of it decreased so much. Specially regarding the staff.

Today we went for a brunch. I ordered an Egg Benedict and asked to swap the salmon for avocado but I forgot to ask for a gluten free bread as I am celiac. Asked the girl (that had a very grumpy face) to bring me some gf bread and hoped she wouldn't mind. She brought me 2 burned sliced of gf bread... when paying the bill there was a full price for my Egg Benedict plus €3.50 for the extra bread, plus €0.30 the charge for the gluten free bread. I was shocked coz in my opinion the changing salmon for avocado was already a good thing as made my order cheeper for them. But they charged me all the extras plus extras and I felt disappointed with the lack of kindness from their staff. My order that should be 13€ I had to paid €17 for bread with eggs 😱. Just all so messy and the kindness and attention they used to have for their customers doesn't exist anymore....

I ordered a sandwich for pickup and they gave me the pickup time 8:30. I wasn’t sure how long it would take me to get there, so I left a little early thinking it would be better to be early than late. I got there at 8:22 and let them know I was waiting on an 8:30 pickup, but for some reason they were really really REALLY angry that I was there early. I had to keep repeatedly and profusely apologizing for having arrived early. I don’t know why, I don’t know what the big deal was, but they just kept going on and on about how it was NOT 8:30, it was NOT the pickup time, etc etc. I just kept smiling and apologizing. When they gave me my food they just had to get one final passive aggressive dig in, saying “next time, make sure you check the pickup time”. Once again, I sincerely apologized to her for upsetting everyone so much, but she just completely ignored me and walked away. It was all just so rude and unnecessary. The food was fine. Definitely not worth dealing with...

The food was fine and the staff polite I was however disappointed as they wouldn’t allow substitute an extra hash brown instead of the tomato despite both items being individually priced the same on the menu. Not a problem in any restaurants I’ve frequented in the past. I was gobsmacked when settling my bill to be charged €1.50 for a dash of ketchup this wasn’t notified on the menus or by the waitress who brought to my table. This is standard fare for a full Irish breakfast of which I must have had hundreds in various restaurants across the country. The person at the till seemed embarrassed by the charge and agreed but could do nothing. I did contact the restaurant through their website contact form but after 5 days they haven’t bothered to reply-again disregard and poor customer service. I wouldn’t be inclined to return an recommend frequenting a cafe more interested in their customer.

I have been here 3 times for lunch with my friend as she works close by. First time I had a Paella was ok. Second time my friend’s toast with smashed avocado was very little of avocado and without any tasty. But third visit made me write this review and make me to say that is a last time I came there. After half an hour waiting we have got wrong food, no apologise or anything like that. After another 15 minutes we finally got prawn paella. From first look we wasn’t sure if we want to eat that. I am not sure if we ever ate something more disgusting and not even close to paella. It was something mixed with ketchup … Service not too good either, never been asked if is everything ok with food… definitely not worth for another visit
