Totally agree with the review below about the change in ownership. Also been drinking & eating here for over 12 years, & regularly pop in on a Sunday for a pint & a roast. I will never be back under the current ownership & management. They’re appalling, utterly defensive, & take everything personally. I was there on Sunday evening with my older son. We sat at the bar at 7pm & ordered a roast beef & lasagne. After what we thought was 45 mins, we still hadn't received our food. My son was getting very hungry & upset that it was taking so long. At no point did anyone update us. I asked at barman if he could check & he came back saying it would be just 5 more minutes, with no apology for the wait. I said I'd like to talk to the manager & when she came over, I was met with a faux interest in what my issue might be, repeating it's "one of the busiest nights of the year" & my food would be out shortly. I thought they'd simply forgotten or lost the order, & she refused to accept that. She got the receipt which proved that it had been 36 mins since we'd ordered. I said it was brutal they hadn't updated us. She claimed she's "running two restaurants", including the old man's bar next door. I've drank here for 12 years & have never seen a hot meal in the bar next door. She then claimed they also had a staff shortage due to a mysterious "virus" or "bug", which was ironic on one of their busiest days of the year, & that there was already a small army of 20-something-year-olds on the floor. I asked her to consider before I paid the bill. Our meals arrived 2 mins later & the beef had clearly been under a kitchen heater lamp for some time, as the surface of it was completely dry & hardened. My son's "lasagne" was just layers of pasta with minimal beef in between, & he barely ate it. She asked was the food OK & I outlined it wasn't. She then said I was starting to shout, which was in no way the case, it was simply loud & I had to raise my voice a little so she could hear me. I again asked that she simply consider the service before we pay. When we finished, she came over (after I had to ask for her again) with the bill & & asked for the full amount for both meals, despite my son haven not eaten 60% of the “Pasta Sheets Sans Beef”. I said didn’t think the full amount was fair given the service and quality of the food, that I’d only like to pay for one. She refused. I said I’d like a beer I drank to at least be discounted, and she refused, only for me to recall I’d already paid for that separately. She refused any discount whatsoever. I said I'd been a customer for 12 years, spend c€1000 a year & would never come back if she wouldn't please reconsider. She refused again. I then said I was going to write this review. She replied I was "going to ruin a family run business" by doing so. I said one review wouldn’t do that if it was actually viable business. When I repeated I was going to write the negative review she then accused me of "threatening" her, personally. I was at pains to explain to this, seemingly quite inexperienced “manager”, that saying I’m going to write a negative review of a hospitality business for poor service and poor-quality food was in no way a person threat, it was just a fact. I tried to pay with one card, but it didn't work. I stood up to get my wallet & before I could she accused me of theft if I left without paying! I paid, laughed, & left. I will not be back again under that management. For there to be no recognition whatsoever that I had a legitimate grievance about the service and food, to only be defensive, & then to react personally, without an offer of any discount, is appalling. The service provided was indicative of the inexperience of hospitality staff since the pandemic. They assume your money is theirs by the mere fact you’ve entered the establishment, & any expression of dissatisfaction is met with a) complete defensive/disdain, b) claiming you're being aggressive, and then c) being personally offended. The sooner the manager here learns a lesson, the better. But I'm not...

This place is always hopping on evenings and weekend with smashing customer service and top quality, consistently fresh ingredients in their menu. I was having a rough grumpy ole day, in hot humid weather, and the 'Variety Plate' was just the ticket. I used to get it to take-home during Pandemic. It still hits the spot. Hot food, but light and easy (for hot weather). Similar foods would be stodgy, heavy and greasy from a chipper. This was higher quality, lighter and far more variety.

Perfectly lovely little (giant) snack. 😇

Based on many visits, over many years, trying different offerings on the menu - I highly recommend this pub for both drink, a good buzz and a consistently fresh, high quality dinner menu.

Nothing to do with this businesses quality output, nor any other catering/hospitality business, but obviously (and as a lifelong consumer of Wild Atlantic Salmon dying for a nip of tasty safe salmon someday, again) nobody is eating Salmon anymore since the Norwegian Salmon Farming Cartel seized the market with their well documented, toxic, carcinogenic, "fresh farmed" produce (that tastes like the smell of a dirty, never cleaned, pet fish tank) and consequently poisoned the seas, and the wild species, and their predators up the food chain, from the Pacific to the Atlantic...

I have been coming to the Terenure Inn (Tinn) for a number of years and is one of our go to spots for a local pint. Me and my friend (both 24) decided to meet in the Tinn for the opening match of the Euros and took a seat in the bar. We were impressed by the new look lounge and outside area. Upon going up to order drinks, my friend was told we were not going to be served. When asked for an explanation, the barman firstly claimed we were under 23 and rudely walked away when ID was shown, proving this to be incorrect. When asked again, he claimed we were refused to be served in the lounge. Again this was false as this was the first time we had attempted to order a drink. Unable to give a valid reason for not serving us, he again rudely walked away. Left with no choice, we were forced to bring our custom elsewhere. It is a disgraceful way to treat loyal customers that have been coming to the Tinn for years. No amount of fancy signs or social media campaigns will make up for treating customers with disrespect. Unfortunately, my group of friends will not be returning. Management, after investing so much, should reassess how they treat their customers or they will quickly go out of favour...

Tried here for Sunday lunch and it was a nice spot to be fair. It’s has a nice interior and is a good size also. I had the Beef dinner was only ok, the beef itself was slightly cold and then the turnip chunks they had on the plate were very crunchy (so I didn’t eat them). Their fish and chips was a nice selection the fish was delicious. The portions of the meal was the right amount and I would take a trip back here. Overall for 2 drinks and 2 mains it was roughly €40 which I found a good price point.

Yes. All 5's. What a great find. Still jet lagged from our flight over from Boston, we woke up from our nap and walked up to have a bite and a pint here. The service was outstanding. Every server in the place was checking on us. The atmosphere was awesome- genteel but still a great pub vibe. And the food couldn't be "beaten with a stick". The menu is the pub grub we know and love but handled by a top shelf staff. Tinn sets the bar for pubs and good restaurants anywhere.

Lovely Pub❤️. Good location, special atmosphere, the architecture for me was the best. Amazing the food and drink, I asked the waitress about the chef, so the Italian chef went to my table, very friendly 👏. The staff very friendly and professional. I loved the women’s Bathroom.
