Leonard's Corner Bar — Restaurant in Dublin

Gorgeous Sunday night pints on a stormy nights, lovely decor but still a proper oukd lad feel to.the bar,mix of myself and my pal Sinead abd a fair few young ones came in from a gig at National Stadium. 2st time there,staff were incredibly sound! I hated the Headliner so much ,staff thought they were cooler than their customers.. grim hipsters. Leonards Corner deserves to take all business from the Headliner. 5 years ago my Dad passed away in the hospice Harolds Cross ,it was a long death ahd my 5 brothers and sisters and partners were desperate to escape the hospice and dying fir a cry abd a decompression, we walked to the Headliner which was just on the cusp of stopping serving but there were a fuklnhouse. My very polite sister in -law said to the man at the door" our dad has just passed ,can we come in for one, please agd we'll move on " "No." " No" we were exhausted any eejit could see we were needing 1 drink " " No " not even any condolences for Dad. It was actually really upsetting. it's an zirish pub bedside a hospice, I'm sure we weren't the first family. Terible really terrible. I will be supporting Leomards...

July 2025 update: place refurbished last Nov. Has lost it's special 80's charm. It's now like a bar you'll find in any airport. What a shame. Staff still v. good, but surprise surprise, there are less of them.

This place is a gem. Very well kept, inside & out. It's a clean and comfortable pub from the 80's/ 90's era with professional & (quietly) friendly staff that have been here for years. On top of this, the Guinness is Great! 😊

Definitely worth a visit if you are close by.

Table quiz is great fun in a Friday night.

Service and drinks are fine. Little slow at times. Tables could do with a wipe down once one group leaves and another arrives. Didn't seem to happen while we were there. We ourselves, plus numerous other groups had to move empty glasses to the bar from the previous group.

Under new owners in 2025, a very different vibe to previous owners. Not a bad vibe at all, just a totally different atmosphere.

Personally I am not in favour of pet dogs in a pub, plenty of...
