So we decided to try here for a sunday dinner as we are fairly local to the area and like to support local business. Its basically pub grub with notions. And not very good at that. Arrived at 6, Place was empty but we were put at a table in front of the door. Anyone in Ireland will tell you, no matter the month, don't sit in the doorway. When we asked to be moved somewhere else there was a bit of a song and dance about them needing the table back at 7.30. Its a pub, apparently, so what kind of sunday pub meal would we be having that takes 90 minutes? After we were reluctantly moved by the hostess we kept it simple, Burger and chips and fish and chips. In Ireland we pride ourselves on the quality of both. We have cows and fish abundant. If you overcook fish and chips anywhere you wont get customers back. Bit like if you get a bad pint of guinness in a pub . Why go back. I wont be back to this place. As a matter of principal i never leave food behind. People go hungry every day. But i just couldn't finish this over cooked under seasoned of a piece of cod. And the beef burger was basically a hammered to death overcooked dry as sand piece of mince meat that fell apart. The chips were fine, and while the server was very nice and they did have my favourite beer, wouldn't go there for a pint as there is...

Very cozy place, super tasty food but… we came in 3 adults and a child. Ordered soup, burger and pasta for each of us plus a portion of fries for a kid. They were thoughtful and brought the fries first so little one could start eating. Then the waitress brought soup and pasta. She wished us to enjoy the food and left. No sign of a burger. We were about to finish our meals when waitress passed by and asked if all is good with the food. Then my husband asked what about his burger. I think then she realized that she forgot to order it. She said that it’s coming and rushed to the kitchen. We were done with our meals and still no sign of a burger. Waitress passed by and assured that burger is coming. We kept waiting what seemed forever, little one was getting cranky because it was time to sleep and was simply boring for a kid. Anyway, after 45 mins of waiting (we were the first clients so we ordered first) after the reminder to the waitress, the burger finally came. At least, it tasted amazing. The waitress said that there was issue in the kitchen but we tend to believe that she simply forgot to pass the order to the chef. Anyway, like I said, the food was delicious but mistakes like that should be solved by offering a discount or even not taking money for the burger...

A clean and fresh place, but the feeling was not very welcoming. I asked for a starter drink and got it after my main course was served. Then I said that I wanted a freshly one made, after my meal, and it felt like I had to work for that. I mean since the drink didn't appeared before the food was served I could not really drink that coctail with it. Then a servant came asked me if I wanted maionaise or ketchup to my fries and I answered ketchup, but he never showed up with it, he was instead polishing glasses! The last thing is only a suggestion. Serve the gambas peeled, with only the tail left. It was quite hard peeling them when they were in the sauce and all. I was worried about my evening gown, since there was hard to eat properly.
