Tuk Asian Street Food — Restaurant in Dublin

If you are vegan I would avoid this place. I ordered a Pad Thai specifying it to be vegan, no fish sauce, oyster sauce or egg. When I got home I discovered that there was egg in it. On return they replaced my dish which I did appreciate. I said I would continue going, so I ordered a black bean tofu dish, again with no oyster or fish sauce and of course there are prawns in it when I returned home.

That day before I left with the prawn infested dish, I was recommending that they offer some labeled vegan options to increase business, the woman informed me that they did introduce vegan options before but the chefs were always accidentally adding fish sauce, egg etc to vegan dishes so they removed them from the menu. So god knows if I even got a dish without fish sauce when always stating it clearly.

It's quite disappointing, the staff were very nice but the chefs can't stick to orders which will eventually lead to some sort of allergic reaction that they will get in serious trouble for.

Awful customer service. Last Saturday (12/06) I ordered a takeaway and noticed that over half an hour later my order still hadn't arrived. I called the restaurant and they told me that the order had already been delivered, but nothing had arrived for me. At the restaurant, they asked me 100 times where my address was despite it being previously specified on my order. The "sir" kept insisting that my address was wrong! After being on the phone for quite a while repeating my address for the umpteenth time, I agree with the delivery guy to call me as soon as he arrives in the proximity of my address. The guy insisted that the colour of the door was not right and that I had given the wrong address ... (as if I did not know what colour my door is)! After over an hour my order arrived and with me waiting for the delivery guy at the door with the correct house number indicated in the order he dared to tell me that I had not indicated the correct address! Bad experience and super rude...

My daughter went in this evening to get a meal with a free token since enough was spent in the place in order to get it. She’s used them before and can sit down. She ordered the food and was handed a take away box, when she asked could she sit and eat she was told no, she explained she has sat before and was rudely told by some woman she didn’t recognise that was then you can’t eat here and was sent off with take away box,no fork spoon or napkins and nowhere to eat as she’s going out this evening. She should have been told this before receiving the food and if I’d been there I wouldn’t have been leaving with boxes that’s for sure. As a customer since it very 1st opened even beside Tesco I can honestly say I’ll never eat there again. Her chicken was raw last time she got food there...
