Max’s takeaway — Restaurant in Dublin

I usually ignore companies that pay people to post leaflets through doors with “no junk mail” on them, but the pictures on it were enticing.

So a few day later when I was craving a “dirty burger” from a chipper, I remembered them (first time ever, so fair play).

I went online to read their reviews and they were good on google and even just eat, so ordered via their own site.

Delivery was scheduled for 19:00, it came at like 18:59… so was bang on.

Food was warm and not too bad.

A couple of complaints would be that I ordered the Max’s bacon burger which is supposed to have egg and bacon, but only got a double cheese burger. Burger was tasty, but wasn’t what I ordered.

Garlic cheese chips weren’t bad. I don’t usually order chips that are “dressed up”, so didn’t eat them all. But that was on me. I was hungry and was like “why the hell not”. Will avoid doing that (from anywhere) again.

But I also randomly ordered the roast chicken breast.

At first it didn’t look like I’d received it. But found that it was buried at the bottom of a bag of chips. Didn’t think it was supposed to come with those, so was a bit confused at first.

It wasn’t great. It was old and dry. It had a little more than just breast (kinda looked like a carcass on the underside) and honestly, the other parts were better.

On some parts the coating was really hard and dry, on other bits the chicken was dry. Not very good.

I’d try them again. The menu looks good with nice variety. And the burger was actually pretty good.

Maybe it depends what you order and when!?

Though ordering at around 6PM from a place that closes at 1AM seemed...

Ordered a doner rap of just eat specifically said no onions in the comment box took 3 bites out of it and the onions were in the 3 bites rang the chipper to tell them I had asked for no onions and two of the colleagues basically called me a lier on the phone telling me there was none on it after me telling them I could taste them on it they were so impolite and rude I am so disappointed as I am a regular customer that' gives the chipper good custom I will not be ordering...

Very bad service, relieved my order and was missing a sauce, I didn’t realize until I was back in my home and opened the bag, I called to tell the guy and he told me that I was lying and it was in the bag, kept telling me to check the bag, I had told him lots of times that the sauce wasn’t there and he proceeded to tell me that the guy said he put it there so there. Such a rude person basically telling me that I was lying about the sauce. Awful customer service I would not...
