Meaghers Pub — Restaurant in Dublin

Last night myself and my girlfriend were subject to abuse of power and intimidation from the extremely unprofessional, under qualified and frankly incompetent security worker. He told us we were only allowed in to the pub on one conditions, that being we had to buy one of the pizzas from the pizza van outside ( which he told us he owned ) we took this as a joke since the pub wasn’t even busy and it was half 10 at night. With that we were followed by said bouncer into the pub, I was then followed into the toilet by him after he noticed I wasn’t ordering from his van. He approached me aggressively at the urinal and confronted me about not buying his pizza, I then left the toilet and thought this situation was over. I left my girlfriend at a table when I went to order a drink from the idle bar staff. The same bouncer then aggressively approached me and ordered me to buy a pizza or I had to leave. I said no, he then grabbed my arm and pushed my girlfriend and I out of the pub. He told us we were permanently barred from the pub. 2022 update - Meaghers is going through desperate hours. Famous CJ Haughey quotes are proferred on arrival to unsuspecting customers. You'd think it would close whilst your taking the head off your pint, but be reassured - the food offering may be measured in peanuts and crisps, the wine menu as 2 sentences - "warm" or "cold" but you'll get some of the sharpest wit from the two gents behind the bar. Estimation of Shannonsiders is at an all time low, however. And Meath....

We have been in Ireland for more than two weeks now and the seafood chowder has been ordered in several restaurants and pubs. So far, the one we had here today was THE BEST!!
