Mint Cottage Malahide — Restaurant in Fingal

A very nice little restaurant located upstairs on the main street in malahide directly across from Duffys pub. We arrived late on Sunday night, so it wasn't overly busy. The starters arrived quickly and were very generous and tasty. We received complimentary pompedoms and dips on arrival. They served authentic Indian beer, which was nice. They also served wines. The food was very nice and wasn't overly spicy. You might be able to ask for it to be hotter (i didn't). The staff were very nice and gave a nice welcome. Very disappointing. First and last time ordering . Beef zaffrani nehari sauce was very watery and bland. Chicken tikka masala tasted like a block of butter, yellow in colour and far too rich to eat , we were told when we rang to say that we must have received buttered chicken as we are very familiar with Indian food and Indian restaurants because it tasted like butter and visually looked like buttered chicken it was the cream that made the dish that colour?! . Absolutely delicious food, I didn’t go inside the restaurant, but this is the best food for Indian takeaway in Malahide. Authentic tastes, amazing portions. The delivery men are always friendly. I didn’t find a dish I didn’t like yet. The chickpea and dal dishes are lovely and the naan breads are fresh. Pathani naan is gorgeous. Chicken biryani is delicious. Properly spiced, no bland flavours that you would get from more typical Indian takeaways in Ireland. Just...
