Dingle Ahoy! Fish and Chips - A Hidden Gem in Dingle
If you're in Dingle and looking for a meal that captures the essence of this charming coastal town, look no further than Dingle Ahoy! This little shack may seem unassuming, but it serves up fish and chips that are nothing short of exceptional.
From the moment I took the first bite, I knew I had stumbled upon something special. The fish was perfectly cooked, with a crispy golden batter that gave way to tender, flaky fish inside. The chips were equally impressive—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right. The quality of the ingredients really shone through, and it was clear that a lot of care and attention had gone into every element of the dish.
But it's not just about the food. The atmosphere at Dingle Ahoy! adds to the experience. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite to take away or enjoying your meal at one of the nearby benches with a view of the sea, there's something incredibly satisfying about this no-frills, authentic fish and chips experience.
In a town filled with great food options, Dingle Ahoy! stands out as a must-visit. It exceeded my expectations in every way, and I can't recommend it enough. If you find yourself in Dingle, make sure to stop by—you won't be...
Read moreI went for fish and chips yesterday evening as I was in Dingle for evening and all restaurants I visited were fully booked . What a disappointment. I spotted 2 takeaways situated in close proximity and chose this one as they had a big banner attached to the front stating Tripadvisor v positive review. What false advertising. Firstly I would advise health and safety to visit and advise the pair serving on the basic rules . There were 3 portions of fish ( COD) and chips ordered . Greasy greasy and more grease . The worst ever . No hand hygiene , taking money, serving food then onto the next person and no hand sanatising . After 1 or 2 bites each and dreadful chips soggy some and others crispy and stale . The healthy decision was to discard them . The greatest waste of money ever . I would encourage someone from Tripadvisor to call and remove the fake advertising that fooled me . I’m feeling nauseated thinking about it . This is my first negative review to Tripadvisor all other experiences around the country have been so positive . As the saying goes “...

Furthermore the service from the two lads working at the food truck was cheerful and friendly. One of the fish pieces broke in half when being transferred to the takeaway box and we were offered a new piece - we declined because it's not big deal but the very fact that the lad even offered was really a nice touch
Highly...
