My friends and I darkened the doors of Bob Griffin's in the mid afternoon on the second day of what was already turning out to be a hairy, albeit relatively civilized, stag weekend. A few of us had come in because we had just chickened out of going for a swim in the October Atlantic Ocean, and so decided to have a casual pint instead to sooth our bruised egos. So we sat down, got a round of Guinness, said cheers, clink, had a sip - - - by God that was good. By God that was very good. We were told this wasn't allowed? Terrible customer service and and definitely...
Read moreLovely old bar that has created a great outdoor space with covered booths made of oddments of timber, old windows etc. Done with more care and style than most hastily constructed areas for outdoor eating and drinking. Food wise, they have a hut out the back with a short menu of burgers and fried fish. Had the fish and chips and the fish combo. Both delish. Shame about the paper plates and plastic cutlery. I saw the breakfast menu and was surprised/apalled to see the 'full Irish' comes...
