I really enjoyed having lunch in a cute window seat at The Diner. I enjoyed some fresh, dripping with goodness garlic bread with my meal. The fried manta ray was fresh, mild, and had great texture. The mushy peas were nicely done and tasted like fresh green peas. The chips were crispy and creamy and very hot and fresh. The sweet chili mayo went with the chips and the fish, and while I'm not a huge fan of tartar sauce, this tartar sauce was quite good. The portion size is huge for the Fish and Chips and I had a hard time finishing the meal. The batter was a tad greasy but it was freshly dipped and fried which tasted great. The lemon wedge was much appreciated to cut some of the fattiness of the meal.

The service was nice and fast, but that’s about where the positivity ends. And while I hate to give a bad review, what I hate even more is mushy fish. We ordered the fish and chips and the garlic bread. The garlic bread was the best of what we got, but even that was mid at best. The fries were okay, not very salty but we ate them. However, the fish was mushy, almost liquidy in a sense. After a few bites we deemed it inedible. I would not return here, and I pray for the souls that order the fish.

Overall not very good. We got two full Irish breakfasts (the menu was very small so had to make do). They didn’t have has browns, mushrooms or beans which is very bad for a place serving breakfast ireland and the sausages are the tiny multipack ones. It was quite expensive overall at around €30 for both breakfast with a tea and coffee. The tea was fine but the coffee was only half full. All in all very bad experience, won’t be back and won’t recommend to others

We had a horrible experience in this restaurant on Saturday 13th January. Bringing our friend all the way from Los Angeles to Ireland, we came to Dingle on a Saturday night to find hardly any restaurants open. I understand it is January and in off-season and that service staff work very hard all year in what is a very busy and special little town. However, the English gentleman behind the counter would only serve us if we took the food away, even though there were a number of free tables and other customers were already only starting to eat their meals. He said they were closing soon, and that if he let us sit down then he'd have to let everyone else who came in sit down. Needless to say, nobody else came in. We asked the gentleman if we could simply stand at the counter and eat the food we bought as it was bitterly cold outside. He said we couldn't and invited us to sit in an outdoor booth in the car park instead. It was almost at freezing, in the middle of January and we had been travelling all day to get to Dingle. What a disappointment. After a wonderful few days around south western Ireland (our guest is from LA and we are from West Cork), this was the absolute lowlight of...

We arrived in Dingle (21/6/16) as part of a tour group. With only 2 hours to spend and some hungry teenagers to feed, we decided to look for some fast food along the main street, fortunately, we chose the Dingle Diner. As soon as we stepped in the door, we were shown to a table upstairs by a very nice lady who seated us and soon took our order. The place was spotless, there was free WIFI, the staff were extremely well turned out and were very attentive. The food, that arrived quickly, was probably the best presented snack food I have ever seen, there was just nothing bad to say. We had paninis, burgers, chips, soup and chicken goujons, all of which were obviously cooked freshly and tasted great. The drinks were large and freezing cold, which was welcome on a hot day, prices were not at all expensive and I would pay more. As we left we were thanked by staff for our custom. As you've probably guessed by now, I would highly recommend Dingle Diner if you're in town. You won't be disappointed. The owners should be very proud of their business and their...

Went in with my family of 5 for a meal, staff were friendly, took our order, 2 kids ordered pizzas which were served in a reasonable time, then my wifes fish and chips then about 15 minutes later a burger was served we explained we were still waiting on a burger the guy serving us told us he 'd be back in a minute. No sign of him coming back so we called an older guy over he went to investigate and came back to say was it a New Yorker Burger I confirmed it was he said it wasn't on the order and showed me the order slip ! he said he get it ordered straight away. At this stage it was 40 minutes since we originally ordered so I cancelled my burger and went to the take away around the corner. When my wife went to pay there was no apology she was told by an older lady "you have to understand we are very busy". So my advice, if its busy avoid if its quite go in but double check your order. My family did say the food was nice (I...
