Salvadors & Robertinos Killarney — Restaurant in Killarney Municipal District

We went there for lunch on Monday, we were served by a middle aged skinny woman, she came to our table to take orders after only sitting us for 2 minuets and we obviously need more time to read than that. We ordered a fish chowder, starters of chicken wings, beef stew, bowl of soup and a vegetable fried noodles. What disappoint the most is the noodles which cost €11 and the portion is extremely small. When I tell this to the same waitress who sat us down, her replied was she doesn’t know anything about it and explaining she didn’t cook the food. I felt like her response is really appalling as a waitress, of course I knew she didn’t cook the food but a server is the person customers can deal with when problems occurs. After confronting this to her she only said the manager will come to us later. After 15 minuets and when we fell like giving up the manager finally came to our table and asked us what was the problem. We then explained her about the portion size of the noodles but nothing has been done, no apologies no exchange or anything. We then finished the food, paid the bill then leave without giving any tips. We went there over christmas, 3 adults and my 2 toddlers. We were seated at the booth. After 10 minutes of waiting we went up to ask for some water and menus and were told “we will get to you when we get to you”. After 5 minutes they brought the menus and we ordered 2 pastas and a pizza. They took our order and left, a minute later he returned and said we have to order more as we are taking a booth so we need to order more, i then replied that we were not informed nor was there any display of any “minimum order quantity “ policy for this restaurant (where ive eaten several times previously). The waiter then replied “did you ask?”! I then replied that this may be a policy of yours but this is something that 1. Should be communicated to us upon arrival or displayed in the menu or wall or somewhere and 2. This could have been told to us by the waiter in a more relaxed manner, which we could take onboard and maybe decide to order further,We were shocked with this reply and his general demeanour and behaviour with us was appalling. My kids 3+5 yrs were cranky and hungry so i told him that this was not the norm , customers arent supposed to ask for restaurant policy. At which point he asked us to leave. We went to the restaurant at 7 pm it was very busy but we got a table it was it took a while to order when we did I ordered ribs for starter and my husband ordered another starter and we ordered 2 pasta dishes for the main course and since it was my husband birthday and it was the day before valentines we ordered a bottle of prosecco. We received the prosecco and two glasses that was it no ice bucket. we waited and waited for our starter when 8 pm came the waiter came out to me and said we don’t have any ribs left we were starving by now he said I can give you chicken wings ok I said anything I got 15 min later 5 chicken wings and salad . I asked for an ice bucket because the prosecco was gone warm. When we got our pasta main course it was ok it was pasta with a bit of sauce and bits cubes of chicken and two piece of garlic bread that was burnt to a crisp underneath. My husband just said let it go so I did because it was his birthday. We had our dinner in scotts the night before and it was beautiful. I love Italian and Killarney but I won’t be going back to that...
