I thought this was one of the better cafes in Killarney. until last Sunday. We arrived around 10:40 and took a table outside. the cafe was quite busy but nothing serious. at 10.45 we ordered 2 full breakfasts and 2 lattes. after about 15 minutes of waiting, we were provided with drinking water. After another 10 minutes, I asked the waitress if we could at least get a coffee since we had been waiting for so long. in the meantime, some customers who arrived after us managed to drink their coffees and eat breakfast 😂 around 11.37 we received the ordered breakfasts. the coffee, of course, has already been drunk, as well as the water. waiting time is incredibly long. I can understand how busy it is, especially after 11 a.m., but waiting over 50 minutes for breakfast is a bit too long. the quality of the food has dropped a bit since my last visit to this place, the black pudding tasted suspiciously sweet and the bacon was so burnt that it was impossible to eat it. the total cost of the meal is 32 euros and only one butter for toast. wow. I assume that the lack of employees at the busiest time of the day is the result of poor management. it's just a pity that customers...

I ordered French Toast with Maple Syrup, what I got was French Toast with Golden Syrup. Firstly, the portion for €12.90 is tiny, one slice of bread but it’s not sourdough, it’s sliced pan. There are maybe three streaky rashers on top too. Secondly, the ‘maple syrup’ is poured all over the slice of bread, I’ve only ever had it on the side anywhere else so that I can decide how much I want to consume. Thirdly, there was icing sugar sprinkled on top, there is no need for extra sugar!

When I complained about the ‘maple’ syrup, the waitress took the plate of food away as it was inedible due to being covered in the syrup. Another waitress came out with a face that told me she thought she had a gotcha moment for me, she went on to show me the ‘maple’ syrup - Lyle’s Golden Syrup - Maple Flavour. She could not understand the difference between that syrup and maple syrup. When my sister went in to pay for her Irish breakfast she was told that they had taken the French Toast and my macchiato off the bill. Coffee is awful too so was glad to not have to pay for it. My sister enjoyed her Irish breakfast for the most part. The staff were lovely, one brought out...

When we got there there wasn't any free table inside so we didn't mind outside but once there is a vacant table we would get inside. We were called in after a minute that the table is free and then we found out that a table was occupied by a manager having her coffee ( as a business you wouldn't let your employee eat at a table that can generate more revenue if then a staff member having a coffee/food)

The door were opened the entire time so we had to sit with coats on and despite that it was still too cold and cigarette smoke coming into the place as there was smoking area outside.

The "smash avo" wasn't a fresh avocado. It was premade so it tasted like nothing but avocado. The "french toast" was 2 Brennan toast slices as french toast but it was just soggy flat bread with bacon and maple syrup.

The food was overpriced and very low standard.

Def wouldn't recommend. There is nicer place that is same price for food but the quality is way...

Atmosphere: Located down a back alley off the road. Not a busy area. There are quite of few inside tanked to eat at, more than other cafes in the area. There is also a large outdoor patio with lots of seating. Staff: Friendly but not very attentive. After taking our order we never had anyone follow up with us. Luckily our food was great. We wanted to order more food but after waiting too long we decided to pay our bill. The table next to us also had difficulty getting our servers attention. Pancakes: Good pancakes with fresh fruit. Eggs & Toast: The toast tastes fresh. We ordered our eggs scrambled. Good taste, nothing special. The parsley was a bit strong. French Toast: Tons of flavor. Tasted great. Not the largest portions so may be best to order a side dish. (I like my bacon burnt so ignore the bacon in the photo)

Lovely little cafe in the centre of Killarney. Just off the main street so there isn't as many people walking past and is a bit more space which I liked. I got a tasty Reuben sandwich. I really enjoyed it. However it did only have 2 slices in it which I thought was a little stingy. Usually in a sandwich like that costing €8.95 you would expect 4 at least if not more. You couldn't really taste it that much. My wife got a super food salad. It a really big and came with so toasted bread too. It was good. We got some fries also which were very crispy. Some might think they were maybe a bit over done but I like them extra crispy so that was fine for me. The staff were super friendly and attentive. We sat outside. Would recommend.

Was passing Killarney today and saw this restaurant around the car park which was looking for to settle down… Sitting at the car for a while watching people chatting at the outside tables ,happy out ;no wonder as weather so beautiful ☀️ Busy place At the air you can feel the smell of the good food So decided to try this one After passing the door was welcomed by very nice and polite waiter ,lovely personality offering the daily meal Decided to order small pint of beer while I was waiting for my order Anyway if you’re curious what’s up there and what kind of delicious food is there ,GO It’s a hard job in this heat for all chefs and hospitality workers But for sure you’ll be spoiled And take away food
