I found this pub on Happy Cow. I was in town for the evening with some colleagues and I'm the only vegan so it was on me to find a spot we could all enjoy and this pub was perfection. In the evening they have live music and even comedy shows. There is a traditional pub area where you can eat and drink, upstairs is a rooftop bar where they offer just drinks, and in the back is a stage for concerts and comedy. The pub has traditional Irish food for your non-vegan friends, and the food that is vegan was incredible. There are clearly labeled vegan items and good descriptions so you know exactly what is in the food and I really appreciate that so much. I enjoyed the vegan Tian and it was such a large portion I had trouble finishing it. I also started with the cauliflower wings and I thought they were delightful. That was way too much food, but I would much rather walk away stuffed than feel like I didn't get enough food. I do recommend making a reservation, but I was able to get a table for a short time with no reservation. Eventually the table was going to be used by the musicians to play traditional Irish music from 9pm to midnight. The place has a large amount of local and imported beer on tap as well as a large selection of whiskey and other liquor. I highly recommend this place for meeting up with friends or coworkers or even a date...
Read moreMyself and my partner often go to metal gigs in the Warehouse. It's usually fun and we have a great time. But lately I've noticed a problem. The heating in the Warehouse. When you enter the bar it's toasty warm when you come in from the freezing cold by the Shannon river. But I've noticed at the last two gigs I,ve been to that the heating is turned off in the smoking area and in the Warehouse. We were at Evile last night and it was freezing in there, people left their coats on and the turn out wasn't great, about 50 people. At rock and metal gig people like to mosh and have fun. You can't do that with your coat on. This was a thrash metal gig with one of the UKs best thrash metal acts and no one was moshing! Even the front man was perplexed. It was the first time I was at a metal gig with no moshing, bizarre. The heating was turned off as well last week at the Crowbar gig, upstairs was like a freezer. Dolans, this isn't good enough. We're paying our money and buying pints from you to enjoy ourselves. I know we're in a cost of living crisis but is it so much to ask to treat your customers with respect and not have them freezing at a gig? My partner never feels the cold but he was freezing and uncomfortable last night. Please turn on the...
Read more2 months later and no response. Nor have Dolans responded to the below letter or solicitors letter. Todays update (7-10-24). I have a video of the gentleman in glasses mocking and abusing me at the front door.
Had a horrendous experience there on the early hours of 14th of July. A member of security lost his temper with me kicking the seat from under me and dragging me out causing physical harm to me. A second member of security at the door showed no empathy and instead mocked me which was recorded on my phone and in front of my friends and peers who were working at the gay pride event with me. I asked for names and to speak to the manager at the door but I was denied such information. We have sent a letter to the team at dolans but we are being ignored. A previous security employee of dolans advised me to act fast because they often delete footage if there was an incident. I have to say I have been to dolans before and enjoyed myself many times however nobody has a right to put their hands on me without causing harm and they will be held accountable. Dolans pull up your socks and reply to the letter...
