BEWARE,BEWARE, BEWARE!!!!! AVOID, AVOID, AVOID It has taken me quite some time to write this review as the events that took place surrounding my dress have been so devastating to me and my family. I purchased a dress from Virginia on a trip home to Ireland ( I live in Australia ) I had been dreading this moment in my life as I have no body confidence and am larger than I have ever been, despite actively losing weight, I was still uncomfortable with my looks. Virginia showed me my dream dress, it was absolute perfection, a Mon Cheri dress! I tried on a size way too small and she assured me she would take my measurements and ensure I get one made to fit. The way she spoke and how she advised the process would take place I felt like I could have trusted her with everything in that moment. I left for Australia and left my amazing mother to take care of the dress on the Irish end. The dress arrived and Virginia had already told my mother she was getting the dress made a bit bigger so that we could be sure it would fit and I was in between sizes with my measurements, we 100% trusted her this would be the case. Fast forward a few months and a dress fitting and the dress was nearly 2 sizes too small!! The seamstress advised it was such a size difference all she could do was either help me find a new dress or try and remake the ENTIRE back to allow it to fit me!! Not only was I devastated but I felt disgusting and fatter than I had ever felt ( even though at this stage I had actually lost more weight!).Weeks and months of back and forth with Virginia who promised us she would make it right, not to worry, she would fix everything, it was the company’s fault, she would make sure I had my dream dress no matter what and it seemed like we were getting nowhere with my wedding date looming ever closer!!Virginia and Mon Cheri refused to believe the dress was the incorrect size and demanded it be placed on a manikin and have all the measurements taken etc,which we did proving the wrong size but then they demanded it be placed on one of their manikins, I felt like not only were they fat shaming me but they were insinuating I was lying to them. Finally Virginia said a dress would be shipped from the US in my size as long as I returned my current dress – this was 3 weeks out to the wedding!! I then found out she had been FB messaging my seamstress and had told her this new US dress would still need altering, she had not advised me of this, saying it would be a perfect fit!!This would have meant that the US dress likely would not have made it to me on time and even if it did it would need altering which would have meant it NEVER would have ready for my wedding date!!! Virginia ( and Mon Cheri ) have lied, deceived, conned, fat shamed and devastated me. On top of this my wedding day was not at all what it should have been because of them and their actions! The dress was fixed ( thanks to an incredibly gifted seamstress ) but was nowhere near what I had dreamed of, I wore it as I had no other choice at that stage. At no point was I offered a refund for the dress, at no point have I received an apology or ownership by either Virginia or Mon Cheri for their fault. It took me quoting the law to get Mon Cheri to give a good will gesture of paying for the alterations, Virginia then jumped on this bandwagon to get out of giving me a refund, instead offering to pay for the alterations and offering me a free veil ( she had already sold me an overpriced one, which means I would have 2 veils!! ). She has since stopped replying to my correspondence. I am a Limerick native and have since learned I am not the only bride she has done this to. I would strongly urge EVERY bride to STAY AWAY from Virginias store and the Mon Cheri brand altogether. You will be deceived, lied to and then ignored. If I was still in Ireland this would have turned into a legal matter but as I am in a different country I feel it is my duty to inform people of this persons disgusting behaviour. Had Made an appointment for Virginias Bridal Shop in Roches St. All excited because it had been my first time going shopping for My Wedding Dress. I had tried on a couple of Dresses in the Shop and in the end I decided on One . I hadn't given Budget on how much to spend so when I was told the dress I had picked out was Sale I was delighted. The girl said she would order it in my Size and my Niece asked would it be the same price as to which she said Yes.... So I had given A deposit on it and went away delighted knowing I had gotten my Wedding Dress.But that Evening I had gotten a call to say that Virginia said it would cost me an extra €695 to order it in my Size or would I like to take them "Sale" dress that was 2 sizes too big for me... Now I work in Retail myself and I know if a customer asked me for a dress in her size that's on sale that she gets it at that price not add a lot of money onto it . Plus this shop has it on there Web Site saying "Sale" so I'm Lucky I got my Deposit Back. And I actually got My Wedding Dress from another supplier. So to anyone out there looking to go for a sale dress in Virginias Bridal Shop just be very aware of this... False...

While in Limerick for my daughters wedding I discovered I forgotten to pack the Vail. The next next day was the wedding and I needed to find a Vail quickly. Another daughter and I drove into town and started the hunt for the perfect Vail but we soon found out that the bridal shops where either not open or by appointment only. We searched the local shops hoping to find one open near by and discovered that Virginia's Bridal was just around the corner from us. We were so glad to find the nicest guy there who was helping out while his own dilemma was his family had just had a fire in their home. He said it was not his particular talent to design Bridal gowns and accessories but he was actually great at it. He searched high and low to help us find a Vail and came up with one my daughter loved. The Vail really completed the dress and we were so very grateful for his expertise. If you need Bridal wear for your upcoming special day you won't go wrong with Virginia's Bridal. I met some of the most gracious people in Ireland and The owners Husband was one of them , Thank you for helping us in our time of dilemma when you had your own to deal with....
