It's the second time I actually have went to this particular Mad egg we would usually visit dundrum and find dundrum amazing personally I find the overall food and service here to be quite bleak. My first visit I had a newborn baby with me and was told there was a reservation so I couldn't sit at a low table with my newborn, bare in mind that table didn't show up for a further hour but when I said I couldn't sit on a high chair I was told well you can wait outside if you want - to which I had to reply I have a newborn baby with me and it's raining this was the female manager we eventually sat down an hour later and no sign of the table that had booked out apparently half the floor i asked would you not leave low tables free to accommodate parents with small children and she replied THEY ARE KIDS.... In rocks 8 adults with kids yes but just was astonished i work in a service role myself and bend over backwards for women with babies or pregnant women i would ensure to always have a table free for that purpose its not refusing a table its physically impossible to not have a low table. Today we visited and again service bleak I was handed 7 euro fries with 12 fries In a bowl and 15 euro tenders that had 5 mini tenders in it I was just shocked at the price vs the food handed I actually said to a waitress I think I've been given half a portion of fries and he was like they are always that small I said they really aren't I've visited mad egg on at least 40 occasions, he took it back and 12 minutes later when my food was cold I had a full portion of fries and the female manager came to the table and fired the fries down crack fries no bacon and walked off. I wouldnt step foot in there again. Dundrum is amazing you can't fault the team with kids and overall attitude and service such a shame if it was mc donalds I'd understand avoid and go to nandos you don't walk out hungry or told to stand in the rain with a...
Read moreFood, atmosphere as expected but bad experience at end of meal… server placed bill for €23 on my table, without reviewing card machine I tapped card/payed… left with daughter, strapped in, drove in queued line to exit car park… as exiting a €37 charge came up on my phone. Had to re-enter car park, take daughter out of car, return to restaurant in the rain only to be met by the same server who said ‘oh yeh I charged you for someone elses order’ … despite knowing about it 15 mins after doing the mistake there was no action to correct until I had returned to the restaurant to get it fixed, I questioned if he would have let it go if I hadnt returned. then I was met by the manager who told me for a return on my card I would need to wait a longer time for the bigger manager to process a refund, therefore after me/daughter being inconvenienced.. 20 mins later after a whole heaps of soulless ‘sorrys’ we walked to our car in the rain with a handful of notes and coins correcting mad eggs mistake … bad service experience.. would be a mad egg to...
Read moreMy in depth review of the “MAD EGG” : I entered the premises with the notorious BIG booming in my ears. A good start i thought, UNTIL I scanned the menu and seen the burgers were 13+ QUID EACH!!! SCANDELOUS I thought!!! When the waiter told me chips weren’t included I almost had a heart attack!! The waiter did explain the menu to us so I will give her credit for that service, however, she did not present herself appropriately with bandages on one arm and scandelous tattoos on the other arm. Very unprofessional I concluded. My belly grumbled and moaned while waiting for the meal!! It took a total of 25 MINUTES TO COME! The burger itself: The burger was ONE OF THE BEST burgers I have ever endeavoured in! HOWEVER, no chips is a criminal act and I was expected to eat off a NEWSPAPER!!! Didn’t even have the curtesy of allowing me to devour the burger off a plate. My overall experience of this establishment is a 4stars/5stars! Just after noticing a Fanta was €2.80...
