Bia Café Drogheda — Restaurant in The Borough District of Drogheda

I normally leave good reviews for places but I was very disappointed with Bia tonight always order from them never an issue but tonight couldn't even eat it. I ordered pasta carbonara have had it before loved it but tonight it came with no sauce just pasta with loads of oil and bacon. My husband got a chicken curry and chips loads of chips came when he opened the container it was half full. It looked like brown water there was no smell of curry off it and it was packed with peas and Carrots by the look of it it must of been frozen vegetables that turned the sauce to water. Also there was only one tiny piece of chicken. My husband tasted the sauce but it was flavourless just was like water. The whole two meals were inedible something we were looking forward too. I will now have to think twice about ordering again from Bia which is...

Interesting restaurant. Seems to suffer from an identity crisis. It doesn't know if it wants to be a brunch cafe, a romantic bistro, or a Chinese takeaway. Both the decor and the food suggest this. They seem to serve everything from roast dinners, pastas, and lunch sandwiches to spice bags and chicken balls. Their menu is quite extensive, with at least six or seven pages bound in a thick cover like a fancy wine bar menu.

Taking this into account, the food I've tried is actually quite delicious, served quickly, reasonably priced, and well-presented. (I had a stir fry dish and salt and pepper chips).

This place never seems busy on the floor, but it appears most of their business seems to be in their takeaway service. Perhaps it is a Chinese takeaway after all.

I see no reason why I wouldn't return, if not to try...

Hadn't bean here in a while, my son suggested we go have lunch in bias and so we did, walked in, was seated to an almost empty restaurant ordered chicken gaugeans chips and I ordered black bean stir-fry with beef and small bowl of chips with 2 soft drinks. Waited no longer than 10 minutes and the food was brought, the lady serving was pleasent and welcoming but the stir-fry was absolutely disgusting and tasteless not much beef in it ,the rice was stuck together and morso like microwaved porridge , couldn't eat it just ate the chips and left the rice behind, was charged €32.00 although I had told the waitress of the issue , she proceeded to charge the full amount and smiled it off, I'm hoping this is a once off but either ways I will not be dinning at this venue in the future as of today ,total...
