DO NOT GO HERE.

What an embarrassment of an establishment. Multiple times over the past few years I have gone here and had a negative experience due to the service and our last visit was no different.

The food is bang average and no doubt re-heated. Not fresh at all. But that is even overshadowed by the big dark cloud that looms over the head of everyone that works there. What a bunch of miserable, grumpy and insufferable goons.

One member of staff in particular, a woman with blue in her hair was a rude, unpleasant, argumentative child. She had to audacity to argue with a member of our party when they explained to her that they had been brought the wrong order. She exclaimed multiple times that she has written down what was brought to him. Never ever questioning the possibility of her making a mistake or mishearing them.

Even if she didn't mishear (she did) she had the cheek to tell the member of the party that THEY were wrong. What a clown. Any competent server would apologise and go and get what the customer asked for. To argue back profusely when you have already been dull and moody enough to depress a load of kids on Christmas eve is just embarrassing.

Like I said, this has been a theme with the staff here for years. They are an embarrassment and The Pheasant needs to seriously consider the reputation that is is now carrying. Cracking a smile...

Popped in when passing on a Sunday to grab two large take out dinners for elderly family members. Requested the turkey and ham . Paid 34 euro for both. Dropped off meals and couldn't believe portion size esp regarding price paid. Often get take away meals in various places but the pheasant takes the award for extortion and portion control.

Fantastic atmosphere, several areas seperated and plenty of nooks to hide and have a private drink. The menu is very substantial and they are certainly generous with their plate sizes. Pricing is very reasonable. Massive outdoor beer garden with screens for watching sport etc.

Stopped to have lunch, and we were satisfied! Menu was limited to typical pub fare, but everything we ordered was very tasty. Fun atmosphere and clean restrooms. Very reasonable prices.
