Conlon's Food Hall — Restaurant in The Municipal District of Dundalk

I went there for buying 5 Euro meal deal with sandwich and the shop was my favourite. On that day I only had 50 Euro note so I asked a white, middle-aged woman who looked a bit snobby if it’s ok to pay by 50 Euro note. She said ok so I waited for a while and got the meal and when she gave me the change she said “Here is your 45 Euro”. I looked at her hand but it looked like brown-ish colour notes hiding behind 5 Euro note. I thought it should be 20 Euro notes and I trusted her without checking the change.

Then I went to a nearby park and after eating the meal I wanted to check it and found she had given me only 25 Euro. I became furious and got back to the shop claiming she had given me 25 Euro change instead of 45. The woman insisted that it was my mistake and another woman said the manager will come at 3pm and add up the till in order to confirm whether she had given me 25 Euro by mistake.

I gave my number and my Landlady’s number but told her to call me first but she didn’t. She called my landlady only and told her that there was no mistake. Of course the add up was correct because she took my 20 Euro in her pocket!

I’ve told everyone I know about my experience but I really don’t want anyone else has the same one so I decided to put it here.
