Lovely pub, came in after doing the cliff walk along the coast for a much deserved pint. Staff is lovely. Once it got busier the service did get slower but that it expected. We ordered BBQ chicken wings and they are incredible. The cheese burger and steak sandwich were also good. If you’re in the area I would definitely recommend this place. The interior itself is lovely and booths have comfy cushioned seats

Great if you like football, nightmare if you don’t! Gorgeous old pub but felt like a sports bar - there were 5 loud TVs in view of my table showing the matches. Decent pub grub menu with the usuals of burgers, wings, fries etc along with some good vegan and veggie options. Definitely a place to come back to, but I’ll prob check the sport fixtures first!

Just tried Phil's tonight for takeaway.... Brilliant, and best by far in the town.... Chicken goujions are excellent (please don't change the batter). Burgers, ribs and wings on a takeaway menu.. Its great. They are also open during the day for lunch takeaway and coffee. And lads, if you're missing your pints..sure they also do those as takeaway....

First time to visit here got the prawns with garlic and chilli and ciabatta bread.weird taste off the oil the prawns was in was real black like they were thrown into used oil could taste it .when mentioned it to the waitress she said the waiter that was bringing them out had said to her they don’t usually look like that they probably be sent back.when I asked her to ask chef what they were, chef said they were like that because they were in caramelised chilli, didn’t know you could carmelise chilli few hours later I was sick.serving up filth in oil that was used for god knows what. Also got sweet potato fries which were overcooked and tasteless.Absolutely vile no shame wouldn’t call him a chef serving filth like that.would definitely...

Our party of 6 was easily accommodated by pushing two tables together, though we decided to move as we were right under a loudspeaker spewing music at too high a volume to let us converse comfortably. We had 3 x roast beef, 2 x veggie burger and 1 burger, and all was grand except the beef had spent a bit too long in the oven and was dryish instead of the hoped for melt-in-your-mouth. But the gravy, veg, spuds and Yorkshire pud were top notch. Service was on the slow side and it was a pain to have to ask for drinks and dips more than once. But overall I'd be happy to recommend and to return. €123 for 6 full...

My tongue will tell the anger of my heart, or else my heart concealing it will break. One may smile, and smile, be a villain but she did not smile and eyes can still be seen behind the mask. I have never been so disrespected in an establishment. If the fields or Athenry could hym her sins they too would have hopped on the coffins ships to the Americas. But I would like to state that it was the blonde waitress who is to blame for this poor review. A mutiny in a team of professionals. How poor is she that she have not patience! What wound did ever heal...
