Tikka Asian Street Food — Restaurant in The Municipal District of Wicklow

A year ago I wrote a review whereby I criticised the drop in standards coinciding with the change of ownership. I was served a processed chicken dish which was very poor. I recieved a response which stated that the proprietor acknowledged the criticism and that they were actively seeking another supplier to remedy the situation. Due to this experience I had not ordered food again until last weekend. Regrettably, nothing has changed. The chicken was the same low grade trash as before. This is basically derived from rendered chicken carcasses, beaks, claws and other parts. It becomes pink sludge and is then bleached and formed into something resembling chicken pieces. Essentially it is the lowest grade of chicken edible to humans. The Malasian Curry was nothing more than generic Chinese Curry powder/Paste served with some chopped onion and was grim and certainly not authentic in any discernable way. I refuse to be served this slop without voicing my criticism. This is nothing more than rubbish masquerading as authentic Asian street food...never again. Wicklow...

Really torn between 2 or 3 stars. Waited a really long time for food to come, mains came before starters. I'd finished my main before starter came. Waiter asked me multiple times what started I ordered. Ordered the duck spring rolls,when it eventually did come I didn't like it at all and it had hardly any duck. Told them I was full and didn't really like it, still charged me for it. Got the beef ren dang as a main and was so disappointed, it was really creamy and tasted like massaman curry and the beef was really gelatinous slices rather than tender chunks. Not at all like a ren dang, no...

Myself and my partner stopped here for dinner, the staff there were so kind and attentive we really appreciated their effort to make us feel welcome. Food is absolutely delicious and the portions and great, we ordered the chicken and cheese rolls, Pad Thai and Satay Duck - all superb quality and cooked to perfection! We don't live in Wicklow but if we visit the town again, we'll definitely come...
