Saturday afternoon 15th September 2018. I walked in to McDonald's on the Cork road, I had a 5 year old child and an 18 month old baby in a buggy. It was busy, I queued up apparently to order the food first then hang around near another counter for my number to come up on the screen bit like argos ha! My order was ready the young lady offered to carry my tray completely grateful, I mean I did have a buggy. The young lady asked where I was seated I replyed I was hoping she would help me find a seat, she stood in front of me turned to me and said there's no where to sit, there was from where I stood at least 3 tables being held, she suggested that I could go sit outside,a rather blustery chilly day and I told her no I didn't want to sit out side she then said something and walked back to the counter and was about to put my food in a bag I asked what she was doing she replied she was, her words "bagging my food" I told her I paid for my food to consume on the premises. I waited with a complete order while at least 3 tables were being held, 3 tables with no orders and I have no where to sit, eventually I spot a table go go I say to the 5 year old like we're on some covert mission, I'm right behind him have you ever tried to navigate a buggy in McDonald's? An absolute nightmare, completely ridiculous the poor 5 year old running for a table all he wants is to eat his "happy? Meal" ha! I asked the young lady about their policy about holding tables she said children can hold tables, children? certainly not 5 year olds surely? emm not so sure that they were all children, looked at 5 year old, there's absolutely no way would I would leave a 5 year old sit alone while I queue up twice or even once, no way. One till? What's that about? I most certainly would not recommend this McDonald's on the Cork road or the other McDonald's in town to anyone or family "family friendly" ha! Go sit outside or we'll bag your food, absolutely appalling speaks volumes about your franchise and the McDonald's brand...

Read moreToday I was called a cow by one member of staff and told by another " I was lucky I was being served". The staff members did not practise social distancing as they abused me. I had to speak a little louder than normal as their colleague on the till could clearly not hear me through the perspex protector screen at the till and my face mask. The girl on the till started crying - Well bless her if that makes her cry as its now part of daily life. I'm not the only person to experience not being able to hear customer due to the present circumstances. I apologised to the young girl on the till - telling her I had no intentions to make her cry. As for the young staff abusing me - well they should be sacked. No managers or supervisor around. I would have walked out but nieve and nephews wanted Mcdonalds. We shall be going to Supermacs down the road from now the staff...
