FUSION Takeaway & Cafe Restaurant — Restaurant in Waterford

I used to eat chinese regularly prior to 2020. After that I've noticed the quality of Chinese cuisine in Waterford going down hill rapidly so I stopped all together for about 3 years. About a month ago I wondered into FUSION for a quick bite after work and before the cinema and I was pleasantly surprised. The flavours brought me right back to the good times, everything fresh, cooked right, sauces, noodles, rice, meats and vegetables were all so fragrant and cooked to perfection 👌 The place is spotless too, with super clean cutlery and plates(which i cannot say the same about a lot of other places in Waterford). They offer a nice concise menu for everyone's taste. I've been to it on several occasions now and I can honestly say it has restored my craving for a good Chinese in the Deise! To top it off Jay and Jane are super friendly and wholesome, which creates a really nice atmosphere. I would 200% reccomend to anyone looking for a solid Chinese cuisine in the city. 10/10. I had a horrible service at FUSION Takeaway, when we entered late at night, the counter lady asked a man, likely the chef, the man was extremely rude and said we couldn't sit, as they were closing in a hour.

We were tired and hungry, signs visible, we ordered mixed box, the lady read-out "Chicken Items, veggies and fries with sauce and one drink"

When opened the box and started eating, we realized the chicken was difficult to bite, the meal was very old and refried many times, indicating the meal is not fresh , and a stale leftover.

There was also something black, which we initially thought was a Chicken Fry, turns out, the meal contained beef or pork, we were not informed of this, causing us to refuse eating because of the stale food provided.

Horrible Service, will never go again,...

New to Waterford, and looking for a restaurant/takeout.

Google map showed Fusion with 5 star review- ok, at this stage only 19 reviews, So I went to see for myself.

Not disappointed at all... quaint restaurant with good atmosphere, but I was there for takeaway.

I ordered the Lighly battered crispy chicken with fired noodles.

By the time I got home and unpacked, Firstly, I was happy to see the portion size was ample for one person, the food was still hot. Chicken crispy and fried noodles are very, very tasty.

Well done. I will certainly be back to try other options on your menu.
