Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Douglas

Arrived and joined what I thought was one of two queues. Turned out the other queue was actually people that had already ordered and were waiting. They have a coffee machine either side but only one was being used. Put my order in then stood 20 minutes waiting. I specifically said I was having my coffee inside. 20 minutes later I was given my two coffees in take away cups. I told the waiter I had said, I wanted to sit in the restaurant with a ceramic cup. Without looking up at me, his reply was "yeah thanks."

Update: Always a queue. If they are not too busy they shut down one coffee machine to make a queue. Obviously take no notice whatsoever of any of the comments/ feedback given. Waited 15 min for my coffee which meant my sandwich...

Its my husbands favorite place for years. I had hardly gone there because I dont drink coffee regularly. He works and loves his coffee. Then I discovered that he used to sometimes go to Costa for a meal when he was in between his work days. I was curious to know so I decided that I wanted to one eat the food. I am glad I did because because the food their is absolutely sumptuous, small portions enough for lunch But great tasty food. I cannot list out all the food to you, its endless. Waited for my takeaway drink for at least five minutes. Had a trainee barista making drinks and the experienced barista stood at the till watching and talking instead of stepping in to help. Eventually got my drink and walked away. When I eventually tasted it, it was so disgusting that I had to pop in a pizza place for a drink to rinse my mouth out. They kindly threw my coffee away. I certainly won't be visiting that one again and it's put me off visiting Costa elsewhere.
