I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ein Elwadi, a charming Lebanese family restaurant nestled within a historic stone building adorned with elegant arches. From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to a world of authentic Lebanese cuisine and warm hospitality.
The ambiance at Ein Elwadi is truly enchanting. The old stone building, with its graceful arches and rustic charm, creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It's the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience.
The star of the show, however, is the food. Ein Elwadi offers a menu that celebrates traditional Lebanese cuisine. I had the pleasure of trying a variety of dishes, and each one was a flavorful journey through Lebanese flavors and spices. The kebabs were succulent, the tabbouleh fresh and zesty, and the falafel was a crispy delight. The mezze platter was a true highlight, showcasing an array of delectable small bites that delighted the palate.
But what truly sets Ein Elwadi apart is the impeccable service. The staff is not only knowledgeable about the menu but also passionate about sharing their culture through food. They made me feel like an honored guest, taking the time to explain each dish and ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of superb.
Whether you're a fan of Lebanese cuisine or simply looking for a unique and memorable dining experience, Ein Elwadi is the place to visit. It's a restaurant where tradition, flavor, and hospitality come together flawlessly. I can't wait to return and savor more of their delicious offerings in that charming old stone building with its...
Read moreThis restaurant is fantastic! We’ve been visiting Haifa for less than a week and have already been there twice. First for dinner, then for lunch. When we went for dinner , it was very busy, but the owner of the restaurant found us a table. We were cautioned that it might take awhile because it was so busy, but there was truly no wait at all. The food was AMAZING. We ordered hummus and baba ganoush and salad to start, followed by an amazing eggplant and ground meat dish. All of it was gluten free (I’m gluten intolerant), and all of it was delicious. The staff was so very friendly and knowledgeable about gluten free needs. My husband and I were in the neighborhood again today, so we stopped in for lunch. We had the place to ourselves and the owner was happy to see us back, remembering us from last week. We started with the same appetizers (because they were so good last time!) and shared the lamb shank for a main course. Oh my goodness…the lamb shank and rice were SO good!!! We’re still talking about it tonight. The portions are very generous and the food is fabulous. Stop thinking about going and just go! You won’t regret it. You might need a reservation though, especially on a Friday or Saturday...
Read moreDecided to try this restaurant on a solo trip to the region. The food was pretty good and the atmosphere is nice.
I would have given it 5 stars but the staff was incredibly rude to me. For one, they were shocked when I wanted to try multiple dishes and it seemed like they wouldn’t let me order more than one item. I couldn’t tell if it was a suggestion or a restriction. Not a huge deal, definitely weird but at least they were nice about it. What was rude was that I barely had time to finish the one dish they let me order before they came to me and said that they needed my table because a group of 5 were waiting outside. I was confused but before I could say anything they started wiping down my table while I was still on it! I’ve never experienced this before and it was so incredibly offensive. Am I not allowed to enjoy a meal and atmosphere because I’m alone? Can the group of 5 not wait a little longer? There are definitely better ways to treat customers even if you do want to have quick turn around at your restaurant.
This place does have an incredible story, good food and I love supporting Arabic businesses in general but unfortunately despite the delicious food, I left with a sour taste...
