סטאי תל אביב סושי בר - The Setai Tel Aviv Sushi bar — Restaurant in Tel-Aviv

The restaurant is presented as a high end one but is highly disappointing The service is really bad and inconsistent The restaurant was practically empty the waiter took Forever To get things, there was lots of not really functioning staff Wondering about yet we sat with empty dirty plates for nearly 40 min! we asked for bottled water and he promised to bring that.’in a secind’. but took 40 min and three reminders When asked to-remove the plates after a long wait he was snappy and upset we asked after 40 minutes We also waited over 30 Minutes for Our dessert and tea and; only when we got up and asked to cancel dessert and pay they rushed it.. we were promised a special dessert for the birthday boy we were celebrating they promised a sparkler candle l, but, of course didn’t provide!

We had booked In advance and were promised parking, we called again on our way and were told we could pull up to the front of the hotel and have valet parking however the two people who were supposed to do it, albeit standing and smoking with nothing else to do at the entrance said valet was only For hotel guests not the restaurant guests So we had to spend time driving around looking for parking in the very tight area surrounding the hotel! All in all the chef was a really Nice guy very welcoming and professional surrounded by very incompetent people who know not about service The chairs were dirty when they sat us down and we had to show them and ask for them. To clean them The place is so over priced for what it is the food is ok not ‘drop dead’ great The building is really special! it’s in an old Turkish- ottoman renovated police station. Oh and in the middle of our dinner the doors were left open to the garden and the entire restaurant filled with cigarette smell and smoke as some Employees were standing at the entrance to the garden smoking! Does this sounds high end?...

We had dinner yesterday at the Sushi Bar in the Setai, and the experience started out wonderfully. The atmosphere was vibrant, with great music and a live DJ, and the rooftop location overlooking the beach was truly perfect. The food itself was fresh and well-prepared, and overall we were enjoying the evening.

Unfortunately, the end of our visit left us very disappointed. While we were in the middle of eating our dessert, a staff member abruptly informed us that we had exceeded the 1.5-hour time limit for our table. We were shocked by the approach and felt unwelcome, which completely spoiled the experience. In fact, we left the restaurant without even finishing our cake.

It’s a shame, because the place has so much potential, but the way this policy was enforced really overshadowed the otherwise great...

For the price, you would expect an elegant experience. They tried. The food was good, the setting is nice, the prices are high, and the music is ridiculously loud. We asked three times for the music to be turned down. each time they did for a short bit, and then would crank it up again louder and louder. We wanted to have a dinner where we could talk to our friends. This is not that place. Disappointed. I asked to talk to the manager, he was on the phone and completely ignored a high paying customer right in front of him. Never came over to talk to us after I specifically asked to speak with him. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Unless you want your hearing to be permanently damaged and you enjoy having to yell across the , while paying top dollar (about 170 NiS...
