Barbunia — Restaurant in Tel-Aviv

Everything about the experience was awful. We visited on a Thursday night, place was about 80% full but the service was very confused, slow and careless. It took us forever to get the opening salads, no drinks were offered to us, and I actually had to get up, go to the waiters' station and grab menus. When our mains finally arrived one of them was missing (wasn't entered by the waitress) and so we had to wait for the kitchen to prepare it. Food itself tasted bland, the salads tasted store-bought and cheap and the fish - While apparently fresh - Were overcooked and underseasoned. Overall a super disappointing (and by no means cheap) exeperience in a place that used to be pretty nice....

Fish was quite good, salads are nice. Service was terrible. We went on a busy (Friday) night and were rushed out, as soon as we finished our fish. Had only been there for about half an hour. Asked for another (soda) water and the waitress rolled her eyes before getting it for us. She was extremely rude. Expensive for what we had (three smallish servings of fish, two lots of salads, came to 300 NIS). We tipped 10% which we thought was generous considering, and waitress told us it was not enough. Have fond memories of this place but seems to put profits before food and service now. Won't...

This restaurant/bar are mythology in urban tel aviv. Its a story about a family restaurant that been here when all others are long gone. But now...the restaurant its a nice reminder of what you can get in Jaffa with all salads on table when you're not feeling like go to far. The bar got a unique atmosphere but the service is poor ,not like the restaurant where the service is much better. Prices are high both here and at the restaurant. Sometimes they got some special dish,but any other time its just mediocre . You will enjoy the light vibe,but you can find some better one just a short...
