Spicehaus — Local services in Tel-Aviv

I have mixed feelings about this bar.

Some of the cocktails are really good and I love the presentation, but most of them are just average for my taste.

The food mostly is just not good, I had the fries, burger and the toast.

Eating the fries felt like Im eating oil and it was awful.

The burger was average.

And the toast was so bad I stopped eating it even though I was still hungry.

This bar won't let you order 1+1 after the happy hour, meaning if you had your 3rd cocktail and now it's 8 o'clock, you can't order the 4th, even though you already paid for it. And that is just weird because it's a common thing to do during happy hours in tel aviv.

I recommend you try it once during happy hours, have a couple of cocktails and leave. This is a very unpopular opinion, but after visiting on 4 separate occasions and having mixed feelings about it every time, I just can't say this is a good place to go out all the time with...

The service here was terrible! The staff was busy goring with each other and recounting their new year's Eve stories to each other rather than working, taking shots, eating fruit with their hands, not washing them and returning to service. The "crispy sweet potato" was a basket of soggy fries, and the waitress told us they weren't supposed to be crispy when we complained! It's in the name of the dish! The calamari had an odd texture and the caprese salad was underseasoned. The bartender was unable to make a mocktail out of one of the cocktails for my pregnant sister. Are the drinks here premixed or the bartenders completely lacking in mixology skills as well as customer service?

Very surprised at how bad this was since we have been to double standard many times which had the same owners. Hope the owners can get more talented...

I was there yesterday with a friend and really enjoyed. There's a pretty nice selection of foods and various cocktails, wine, beer etc. Prices are pretty average. We ordered chips which seemed fresh and was tasty but.. the portion was pretty miniature.. We sat on the bar which was almost empty because all the cool millenials were sitting outside, where it was really crowded and buzzy. The music was nice, pretty ambient and offbeat. The staff was nice and friendly. The bar is laid out nicely - oart of it is indoors and part is outdoors, so you're inside but don’t feel isolated... Overall good...
