I really was looking forward to attending the bar given it was one of the first craft cocktail bars in Israel and on recommendations by other bartenders however it did not live up to expectations due to lack of service.
When I arrived at 7.35pm there was already another couple sat 2 tables down who had not been served and then a new set of patrons walks in and sits between us and is served immediately even though we had waited over 20-25 mins each with no attention from the staff. Each waiter only took one order and then disappeared to take drinks to a table and when I finally was able to order at 7.57pm I mentioned the fact everyone was served out of turn and was asked if I wanted a drink or not?
Having waited so long I eagerly ordered 2 drinks and was told this wasn’t possible due to the bar wanting to keep the best quality drinks and I said I was fine with the drinks as they were and the waiter refused. I have never experienced this policy and have been to the majority of the the top bars in the world during my travels.
I waited 20 mins for the drink to come and during this time the other 2 couples had received their food, their drinks and asked for the bill. The waiter brought a free watered down shot of honey to say sorry which seemed odd.
When I finished and was finally allowed to order another drink (presumably as happy hour had now ended), this took roughly 20 minutes again to arrive leaving me with an awkward period where I had nothing to do as I attended on my own and had no drink. I mentioned I was being dripped on by the aircon and asked to move tables which also seemed a chore to move me and never happened.
1 hour and 45 minutes later I got the bill and was able to leave having had 2 drinks and the worst service I have experienced.
(The sazerac was at least good however ruined by...
Read moreWorst bar in Tel Aviv worst service ever terrible acoustics do not go here! We arrived at 7:45 pm on Thursday 15 minutes before happy hour was going to end but we didn’t actually have a waiter come take our order until about 8:10. Then it took around 30 minutes for the drinks to come out with no apologies, which is quite awkward when you’re going there on a date and don’t wanna complain and ask where your drinks are but you’re literally being forgotten about. We also ordered food and the food came out before the drinks by 10 min before. Then we asked for water that never came. Eventually we went and grabbed our own water on top of everything when we were done with the first drink the waiter came to ask if we wanted a second so we actually asked for the menu no one came with the menu for another 15 minutes so eventually we asked again and then we only got a menu so altogether you will sit there for a long time with no drinks and no service and it’s so loud they put the music so high that you can’t even sit on a date with someone next to you and hear what they’re saying! do not fall for this...
Read moreIn conclusion, one of best cocktail places in Tel Aviv.
When you arrive to the place, there are no fancy logos or even an indication that's this is the correct location. However, when you arrive the to the reception, there is a man in a 60's style suit asking if you would like to enter and asks for your name (very unusual). So you tell your name and enter a small place, vintage styled, and sit at the bar. The bartender asks how was your day and provide you a menu with a great selection of drinks categorized by taste from sweet to sour. Once you get your drink and taste it, you realize that you have arrived to the correct place and will stay here for the rest of the evening. Once the drink is over, the bartender helps you choose the next one according to your preference or the last drink you ordered.
In the end, when you exit the place, the reception person will call you by your name, shakes your hand and asks how was the experience.
This is an experience that you don't usually have in Israel and is far more levels above than the usual bar you have...
