Cafelix Shlomo Hamelech — Restaurant in Tel-Aviv

I was really looking forward to trying some specialty coffee, I was hoping to drink a few cups and choose some beans to take home. Unfortunately non of the beans on sale were available to try and the delicious drip coffee that I did try was out of stock. I did think the coffee was exceptionally good and bought beans without trying them as I do believe that cafelix offers some of the best coffee in israel, if you know what to order, the espresso was terrible, burnt, sorry. I know Cafelix for a few good years, but I was recently walking nearby so I got a chance to visit again. I’m so happy I came back.

Most importantly: the coffee is incredible. Some of the light roasts blew my mind. I also bought some coffee home (the variety I got is called “Borboniera”) – some of the best at-home AeroPress I’ve ever made.

The atmosphere is super cozy and friendly. Much smaller compared to its Jaffa counterpart.

I had a great time here today. I had a great espresso. It was fruity, light, soft, and was barely bitter which I love. I chose to sit both on the inner bar, that looks to the very small courtyard outside, and on the exterior bar, that looks onto the street. Both were beautiful and calm.
