Quintessence:

This place is not fancy at all and rather noisy as the guests speak very loud and the waiters shout, but the food is absolutely delicious!

In detail:

When my friends and I arrived, there were no free tables so we had to wait just for a very short period. I had the feeling that most people just go there to have food and leave afterwards.

When we got a table inside of the restaurant where they have air-conditioning, we ordered two different kinds of hummus. I don't really know how many kinds of hummus they have as we didn't get a menu, but we got a warm and a cold version. Moreover we ordered falafel and a carafe of their self-made lemonade. The falafel and hummus were great and so was the lemonade. Our falafel were crispy outside and soft inside. Both the hummus and falafel were very well seasoned.

This restaurant is the kind of restaurant that doesn't look fancy and it can get very noisy as most customers speak very loud and the waiters shout, but the food is excellent. If you happen to be in Tel Aviv I would definitely recommend going there as their falafel are very...

The hummus Mecca. The best hummus dish in tge city. In the contry actually. Probably in the world? But do not be mistaken, when I say "hummus dish" I do not mean the plain hummus. What one should order when one goes to Abu Hassan is called "masabacha." It's a hummus dish that's a bit more liquid than paste, in which they cook the chickpeas overnight so they become very soft and add tgem to hummus with extra tahini, a bit of hot sauce and spices. You could eat it with an onion or a pita bread, or even just a fork. It's...

I always tell people that hummus should not be eaten at a fancy place. You'll find the best hummus where the locals eat, most of the time at no-frill places. Ali Caravan is a great example of this. Come for the tastiest hummus in Tel Aviv and the fresh, warm bread. Don't expect anyone looking after you too much, the waiters tend to be busy serving everyone as quickly as possible. When you finished your food, don't hang around for too long, this place is for eating not socialising. You won't be...

Great humus and very fast service, every thing is very tasty. The place is always crowded. Tons of people are coming to this location. There is always a waiting line of at least 15 minutes. I have deducted a star because of the inconveniences of sitting in this place. You'll have to leave as soon as possible, the place is small and there is always a line. And there is a high chance of sitting next to strangers because of lack of space. If you don't mind these things you'll enjoy a great humus.

The service is very friendly and super fast. They are all so sweet at the restaurant and very helpful when we had to take the stroller inside as there were no tables available outside. We told the person it was our first time, he asked us if we had any allergies and ordered for us. Just be aware that their portion size is big and 1 order of hummus should do for a group of 4. As expected it was all melt in your mouth goodness! It’s just .4 miles ~9 minutes walk to the clock tower.

I'm not an experienced hummus connoisseur, but this is probably the best I've had in Israel. From Dan to Beer Sheva, this is my favorite. The hummus was amazing and this was my first time having masabacha, which was also amazing. Just a heads up, they don't give you a menu when you come, but they severe regular hummus, hummus with ful, and masabacha. Everything comes with pita, onions, and a spicy lemon sauce on the side. You can also order falafel with your food.
