I had a very disappointing experience at this coffee shop. I visited once to buy a bag of coffee, expecting to find a variety of high-quality, specialty options as they advertise themselves. However, I was shocked to find that they only had one coffee marketed as "specialty," which smelled terrible. To make matters worse, they charged an outrageous price of 95 shekels for just 200 grams of coffee, especially when compared to the international prices of specialty coffee.
The coffee itself was almost undrinkable. Although the taste was slightly better than the smell, it was still not good. I would not recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking for a true specialty coffee experience.
I'm also attaching a photo of a random scoop of beans from the bag that I purchased. As you can see, the coffee beans have different sizes and shapes, indicating a poor selection of coffee. Some beans are under-roasted while others are almost burnt, which affects the overall taste of the coffee.
Additionally, the fourth bean from the right has a small hole on its upper half, indicative of insect damage, probably caused by poor storage of the raw beans. Lastly, the upside-down bean in the middle of the image has a small burnt spot at the bottom, known as a scorched bean, which is produced during roasting when the charge temperature (initial temp of the roaster) is too high and the speed of the drum is too slow.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed with this coffee shop's lack of quality and high prices. I would not recommend this coffee...
ย ย ย Read moreThere are some coffeeshops which just sell coffee. There are other coffeeshops which transcend their expected public duties and offer comfort, hospitality, and a friendly, relaxed dining experience with fresh sandwiches which are only half baked and delicious pastries which they make in house. I sat there for an afternoon and sampled their vegan selections, and i was not dissapointed. I would never expect to see a sandwich with vegan mozarella, curry sauce and fried cauliflower on greens, but i ordered it and it was delectable. I also had the chocolate brownie, laced with strawberry jam and it was beyond expectations. Entranced by the aroma of fresh coffee, i sat for hours with my laptop (plenty of places to sit with electricity both outside and in) and watched the passersby passing by Dizengoff square, always stopping abruptly outside the glass window to consider a...

Unfortunately, the code I was given for the apartment entry did not work, and I was stranded, and helpless. I didn't speak any Hebrew, I had no internet/mobile connectivity, etc. I went next door, and found two young ladies closing up the Nahat Cafe. I asked them in English if I could use their wifi, Daria was very kind - she gave me the wifi code, which enabled me to contact my housing rep who gave me the correct code, thus I was only stranded for about 45 minutes. The next day I went and got coffee at Nahat, and Daria was there, I ordered a French Press, and was delighted with it. Terrific service and terrific coffee. I have left Tel Aviv, but I still recommend...
