Pizza Lila — Restaurant in Tel-Aviv

I never understood the fascination with this place, I only ordered delivery from them and it was disappointing due to the high expectations. Howeverrr...

I stumbled into the pizzeria and my friend was hungry so we went for it. This time with low expectations (key to an amazing experience haha, or at least a good one)

Anyway, we were struggling to choose but went with the green salad - good seasoning, ok size. The cheese hardly had any flavor. Nothing exciting but we finished it. For pizza we got the fig and cheese (something like that) It was tasty. Better to get a margarita and a sweet choice and combine them maybe. Just sweet is not a pizza in my opinion :) but it was good The dough is great! When it's fresh it's totally different than delivered maybe..

I would go back. Would not order delivery...

Crust is crispy to perfection, and the rest of the dough is cooked just right. Overall very satisfying. Pizza on my second visit was a little saltier than the first and the cheese was a little thicker, but still delicious. So there is a slight inconsistency between days/pizzaiolos. Update 2025: once again perfect.

Service was haphazard in the evening with some rude staff (Israeli style), just ignore. Update 2025: improved service and the pistachio ice cream was mind blowing!!

Location is in Florentin, which by day is a bit decrepit, but by night has a very cool and edgy vibe. Restaurant is not kosher, but has vegetarian choices. Highly recommended overall....

I absolutely love Lila pizza. The ingredients are always fresh, the vibe is trendy yet casual and though it might not be the cheapest pie in the city, the prices aren't through the roof. this place is always packed, and in Tel Aviv this means one of two things: either there is a hype surrounding it or the food is awesome. With Lila I would say it's the latter. The menu is filled with cool selection of creative pizzas and obviously everything is made on the spot.
